Saved 72% This Week

I didn't shop much this week. I needed to buy some meat and the dog's food was running low.  No matter how good a price you find, 16 pounds of meat and 40 pounds of dog food eats up the budget.

Splurge Funds: $318.58

For those who don't read my blog on a regular basis, my splurge funds are the difference between what I've actually spent and my $50 budget. I use it for those items I never find on sale, don't have coupons for, or when I'm over budget.

Last year, I spent my extra splurge funds for a freezer. This year, I'm saving them to redo my pantry.

  1. Jeri - How is the quality of the strawberries at Aldi's recently? They've looked pretty sad at the big grocery stores lately so I havent gotten any.

  2. I can't speak for strawberries at Aldi in STL, but I bought some at Aldi in Wisconsin and they are great! Extremely fresh!

  3. Hi CJ - This week's strawberries at Aldi were gook, last week's were excellent. I thought they were well worth the price, but I was badly in need of a taste of spring.
