My Aldi (Olive at N&S) did NOT have strawberries yesterday - .99 or otherwise. but there were TONS of watermelons! Thanks Jeri!
ReplyDeleteShannon - They had some on Monday so must have sold out quickly. Watermelon I bought was horrible. =(
ReplyDeleteHi Shannon - You might call your Aldi and see if they are going to get more back in before the sale is over.
ReplyDeleteHi Staci - Don't forget about Aldi's guarantee.
From Aldi's website:
"Quality, taste and satisfaction are always DOUBLE guaranteed at ALDI. If for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with any product, we will gladly replace the product AND refund your money.
Simply return the item to your nearest ALDI store."
Yeah, Jeri, I thought about that but have always felt funny when it involves produce. Have you ever returned a half-eaten piece of produce for a refund? Maybe I'll give it a try as I have to go back anyway.
ReplyDeleteHow do you get a number for a particular store? I have looked before but have always come up empty.
Staci - I've gone back with my receipt of produce I've pitched at home. I haven't had any problems getting a refund.
ReplyDeleteI just looked in the phone book, there are only three stores listed. Maybe the keep the cost low by not having phone :)
Aldi's on Manchester Rd in Manchester was limiting the blueberries to two per family even though they had a very large stack of them :( They had fewer strawberries but weren't limiting those. I love freezing both to make smoothies.

Thanks, Jeri! I went back today to pick up more produce, but forgot the watermelon and didn't have my receipt. =( I did ask them though and was told I could get a refund on produce as long as it was within a week. The manager asked me what the problem was and I told him that the watermelon I had purchased was the worst melon I had ever eaten. He told me that I wasn't the first person who had told him that they were unhappy with the melons. He said that they had contacted the supplier and basically got no response from them. They didn't seem to care since people were still buying. Pitiful on the supplier's part.
ReplyDeleteOn a happy note, I went back for more strawberries, of which they had plenty. Not only are they tasty, but they are organic! Organic strawberries for $.99. Woohoo! I bought 7 containers and should have bought more. I plan to go back for my refund tomorrow.
Oh, and I'm sure you're right about the phones. One more way to keep down costs!
Hi Staci - How refreshing when a manager acknowledges they have/had a problem. Your expience is much like what mine was. I have a lot of respect for how Aldi runs their stores because of the transparency.
ReplyDeleteI just saw their online ad for this coming week. $.99 stawberries & pineapple!
