Saved 70% This Week

It has been weeks since I posted about my weekly shopping. This spring has been crazy busy for my family and we have been living off my stockpile, mostly.  Thank goodness I have one because some week's I'm not sure when I would have had time to get to the store.

I stopped at Aldi for perishables each Sunday and picked up a few fill-in items, but that was about it for my shopping the last six weeks.  I saved all my receipts - thinking I'll get caught up on my year do date totals.  I hope I can find time.

CVS
Before sales & coupon: $42.61
Spent: $3.98 + $5 in ECBs
Saved: $38.03 for a 91% savings

Schnucks
Before coupons & sales: 51.01
Spent: $14.09
Saved: $36.92 for a 72% savings

Dierbergs
Before sales & coupons: $51.56
Spent: $18.03
Saved : $33.51 for a 65% savings

Aldi

Comparable Schnucks price: $28.61
Spent at Aldi: $15.30
Saved: $13.31 for a 47% savings

Weekly Totals

Spent: $51.42
Saved: $121.77 for a 70% savings

    You're welcome. I'm just glad for my stockpile when life got busy. Otherwise we would have been spending a ton of money on fast food.

    That looks great, but it's hard to compare Aldi's to Schnucks or Dierbergs. There is a significant quality difference in the perishable products.

    Hi Anonymous - I've had good luck with Aldi produce. You can't beat the price of the fresh pineapples when they go on sale for $0.99.
