  2. Hi All,

    Another one I was thinking about is the Allegra 5ct Rebate. SNS has/had a tearpad Q for -$2 on Allegra and the 5 ct is running $5.87. Might be a small MM with Thursdays discounts. =)

  5. Anon, yes, M&Ms math is right. $0.58 x (2), then continue with the rest of the math. :)

  6. Hi Anonymous - I checked the math on M&M's and I'm coming up with the same price.

    The Thurday price is a 20% discount on the shelf price. I figure that shoppers spend right at $50 on a $10/$50 Thursday and save 20% on all items before coupons.

  14. I'm still confused on the m&ms. I have 4 b1g1s I'd like to use, but I still don't see how they are only .09. Sorry, but could someone spell it out for me please?

  15. anonymous:
    the m&ms are $0.58 each, so if you buy 2 and use $0.75/2 coupon:

    2x0.58= $1.16
    - 0.75
    total out of pocket = $0.41

    On Thursday there's the $10 off $50, which if you buy exactly $50 is a 20% discount.
    That discount is off the sale price, before coupons.
    So, 20% off $0.58 is 11.6 cents (let's round to 12 cents), which makes each one $0.46 cents.
    Now if you buy 2 on Thursday as part of an exactly $50 order, you will pay:
    2x $0.46 = $0.92
    and use the coupon $0.92- $0.75 = $0.17
    which makes each one about $0.09!
    I don't actually know how the registers round, but even if they round in their favor (ie. 11.6 discount rounds down to 11 cents), that makes each one about $0.10.

    If you have B0GO coupons the deal isn't as good because price of one is less than the 75 cents you get off 2:
    buy 2 at $0.58 = $1.16
    -BOGO coupon: -0.58
    -20% (off sale price): 2x11.6 = -$0.23

    Total you pay for 2: 1.16-.58-.23=$0.35
    which makes each one about 17.5 cents.

    The best deal is if you buy 4 and use 2 BOGO coupons and 1 $0.75/2 coupon:

    4x0.58 = $2.32
    2xBOGO = -$1.16
    0.75/2 = -0.75
    20% = -0.46
    total for 4: you make(!) 5 cents

    Hope that helps.
    I wish I had BOGO coupons.

  17. Hi All - I hope everyone has a great day at SNS. I'm missing this week. I'm heading to Minnestoa to pick up my oldest from his summer job.

  18. I found the Hormel Canadian Bacon at the Kirkwood SNS. It was $1.98. So after the Thursday discount and the $1.50 coupon, it was only $.08!

  19. Megan - Thanks, I'll stop at the Kwd SNS tonight and get some.

  20. No luck on the canadian bacon in St. John, but I saw on another site that WalMart may carry it for less than $2. Not quite as good, but still a decent deal. =) Hope they have it!

  21. The MnM deal worked out great! I bought 8, used two 75/2 and four bogos. Awesome (almost) free candy!

    Ran into a few troubles as usual, but I can tell I'm getting better because now I have backup plans and don't get freaked out when something doesn't work. SnS in St. John (Staci, where were you?) didn't have the soft scrub bleach gel. So I loaded up on bogo whiskas trays instead. :) The frosted mini wheats were not included in the sale price, but I found a bigger box on sale for $3, so even better considering it's bulk.

    I spent $42 for $120-ish worth. My totals are always "high" compared to others because I always buy diapers. In fact, that $42 would have paid for just the diapers and wipes at regular price and not anything else.

    Speaking of which, both the Pampers and Playtex tags were displayed for the catalina deals. But neither printed. When I asked CS, she didn't know, walked the store with me, found the two tags, noticed they were both expired (8/6), pulled them down, walked me back to CS and gave me $7 cash. :) AWESOME!

  22. Hi All - Sound like everyone had a good day at SNS.

    Shannon - I hope everyone reading is just like you and ask when things don't go as expected. You never know what good things will come of it.
