I will stock up on cheese with this good of deal. I've had good luck freezing shredded cheese. I just throw it into the freezer in the package it comes in. Sometimes, small ice particles form in it - if it's been in the freezer for a long time - but it doesn't seem to change the taste or texture.

I only have 1 coupon so I think I'll wait til $10 day and hope it's a good price and the catalina is still going.

DeleteApparently the 2% shreds are not included in the catalinA.
ReplyDeleteI found that out this morning the hard way too. The 2% shreds are only 7oz. The CAT is for 8 oz.
DeleteWatchout for the cheese singles too. The 2% singles are the wrong oz's.
Also watch the sizes on the crytal light. For the $5 Kraft instant off you need to buy the $2.50 canisters, not the ones for $2.48.
So frustrating!!! I'm irritated with myself that I didn't look at sizes, but really, do they have to make it this complicated!?! I bought all 2% (I think the regulars were out of stock bc 2% is what I saw) so I didn't get any CAT back and coupon shopping with 2 little ones didn't let me return and repurchase. Oh well! Always a learning curve in this game!
DeleteHi Megan - Don't beat yourself up over this one. We have all made those mistakes so are now very careful to look at sizes and varieties or products before we buy.
DeleteMaybe you can sneak out tonight or over the weekend when hubby or someone else is watching the kids and exchange the product you bought for the 8 oz. The Cat deal is good through the 8th of Sept.
Is Mozzarella the only kind of shredded cheese that comes with "Touch of Philly"
ReplyDeleteI checked Kraft's website Kraft Shedded Cheese with Touch of Philly comes in these varieties: Mozzarella, Three Cheese, Mexican, Italian and Triple Cheese.
DeleteFor some reason, I only remember Mozzarella at SNS, but I could be wrong.
I went for the first trip and I only found Mozzarella. Seems like I had purchased other varieties in the past.... Have lots of cheese coupons but don't want all Mozzarella. - Andrea
DeleteI only found the mozzarella at the 2 stores I have been to this week. I saw an empty shelf tag for another kind that had been clearanced out. I too have lots of coupons and would like to get some other kinds. :(
