CVS Shopping Scenario - 11/18/12

You can save a ton of money rolling ECBs - spending you ECBs on products that will trigger more.

Take a look this week's CVS deals.

With so many freebies this week CVS, it is going to be busy.  Take your calculator and a sheet of paper with you to refigure your scenario - if they are out of a product, or if it didn't come in for the sale.   I head back to the pharmacy department and find a chair and sit down to my re-calculations.

Please be respectful of the CVS staff and other customers.  Instead of doing all your transactions back to back, do one or two transactions and step to the back of the line.  Not only will the people in line behind you be happy, but it gives you a time to regroup.

  1. What fun at CVS this morning!! I was going to do it all in one transaction since I'm not good with multiple transactions, but the cashier offered to split it for me and she did a great job. I paid $12 for the 1st transaction, .66 for the 2nd and got $16 ECB back. 15 things for free! The South County store had most of the items on special displays and bins so it was easy to find everything. They are out of the PlayDoh, Phillips remotes, Right Guard 5 and I couldnt find the Command hooks. Will try the Maplewood store tomorrow and use most of my leftover ECB to pay for the Mtn Dew.

    1. I just came from Maplewood. They have PlayDoh (Christmas section) and Right Guard 5 on the shelves and command hooks behind the counter. I didn't look for the remote; that was one of the few ECB deals I decided to pass on.

  2. Kuddos to my local CVS...Ellisville, they had almost everything on my list behind the counter, you went down your list and they handed it to you! They were able to tell me right away if they did not have an item. Saved me soooooo much time:) They were out of easy feet, play doh, cepacol, color therapy, and south beach items. The manager gave me a $2 credit for the cepacol and play doh they only got 7. They never got the color therapy in. I might try back later in the week for the easy feet and color therapy. I did find another good deal....the Belvita are only $2.49 and I had a coupon, it's printed from coupons.com for B1G1. Ended up free after ECB's and I still have $6 ECB for my next trip!

  3. Was at my O'Fallon store last night at 11 to get everything and split into the 8 transactions. A very nice lady (and even the checker when she wasn't busy) went around at the same time, and we'd help each other find the items. A line built up, so I just did 2 transactions at a time. Very fun atmosphere, and the two checkers at the K/N store were especially patient and extremely competent and friendly. I messed up the last transaction a bit, as I had thrown on two of the listerine. Should have used those for a 9th transaction (and had coupons in the car), so I would have saved another $4. But I was able to take all the ECB's at the end and go back for the tea and hair gel deals and a bunch of 75% off Halloween candy. Altogether, I got $143.72 of product for $6.82! Thanks for making it so easy with your scenarios! It was a blast!

  5. My St. Charles CVS had everything but the play dough, universal remote, happy feet, starbucks double shots, hot wheels....that was at 10:30 am today.... I was happy. The worker told me that one lady bought 20 play doughs....He said she only got a reward for one of course. Hey, I suppose if you need Playdough bad enough to clear the stock so no one else can take advantage of the "free, limit 1 deal"....then go for it, you must have REALLY needed it ;)

....it was a good day :)

  6. Hi All - Thanks for sharing you CVS shopping experience. I agree, it was a blast.

I can only hope Black Friday shopping at Walgreens is even somewhat close to as good of experience.
