No $5 Axe sets at my walgreens. I went to 4,and was told at the last one they probley won't reduce the price because they can break the sets and sale each item. Guess I will have to try walmart?

ReplyDeleteI did manage to get a few at Walgreens. I just happen to be passing by the Walgreens in Kirkwood after midnight Christmas night so I stopped in there and the manager said they were suppose to change after midnight and gave me the reduce price. He was really nice about it. They only had two. The next morning I went to the Affton store and a worker was pulling them off the shelf being very nasty about it. She barked at me that they were not reduced. I talked to the manager pointing out that it was pictured in the ad. She did agree to reduce the price but was not very nice about it. I stopped in one on the way home (not for axe) and noticed a basket with different gift sets broken down.
DeleteI get that they didn't sell enough gift sets this year, but isn't that somehow against the manufacturer's marketing strategy? I bought Venus/Olay/Gillette gift ses at Walmart yesterday for 4.75 and 5 each and the individual products inside all say not for retail sale.
