  1. Oh, and don't forget the Fuel for School coupons that would be a great match with your 'Healthy Breakfast' scenario. 50 cents a box for cereal and 5 boxes of store brand baggies! Hoping this BTS craze ends soon...it's so hard to pass up great cereal/snack deals but my pantry can only take so much! Bring on the frozen veggies...

  2. Hi All--The GM deal stacks to 30 items get $15 off instantly, buy 20 items get $10 off and buy the 10 items get $5 off. Also, if you included B/C Fruit Snacks there is an additional cat: Buy 3 get $1.50, B4G2 and B5+G3 ad price is 2/$4.00. And the Nature Valley Granola Bars produce a cat for B3G1.50, B4G2.50 and B5+G3.50. Also saw a sign for a cat deal on Progresso soups: B3G1 --I know you earn more wyb more but cannot remember exactly. Do not forget about the Kraft Buy 5 get $5.00 is til 8/15. For the Kelloggs deal: Eggo items are priced at $1.77 this week. HTH =)

  3. If the GM $5 off is instant, do you have to spend $55 to get the $10 off of $50?

  4. Man what a crazy week. I would love to see what everyone ends up this week. Should be awesome deals.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Most of the great grocery deals require people to buy at least 10 products or $50 worth to get the great price. For people like me who dont want or need to buy a lot all at once, the great deals are always few and far between.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I've been waiting for a week like this! Now I just need to get my strategy together...and that could take some time :)

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hi Nancy - The week of 6/21/10 SNS had a $10 off $50 and an instant savings deal. There was some discussion at that time how the instant savings would affect $10 of $50.

At that time, the instant savings wasn't affecting the amount you needed to purchase to get your $10 off. But, every week is different. Ask at the customer service desk is you have questions.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hi CJ - The deals do seem to cater to the family and not an individual. Too bad there wasn't a matching service for coupon buddies like match.com for dates. :)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hi T - I need to come up with my shopping plans too. I was hoping to post something, but I'm not sure I have the time.

  10. Hi All!

This might be a stupid question but what are considered "store brand baggies"? SnS trash bags?:I TIA! :)

FYI: At SnS, I saw a tearpad on the greeting cards shelf for free American Greetings card with purchase of a total of $50 or more gift cards. I'm thinking that SnS Gift card is included on this one. I need to buy a b-day card for my niece so I think I will buy GC first to get the card free before I do my $10 off $50 shopping. :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh, IS IT "LEGAL" to stack the inserts MQs and IPQs for the cereal with the Fuel for School coupons? Has anyone contacted SnS corporate about this? TIA. :I

    ReplyDelete
  12. Keebler Sandwich Crackers 8/1/10 RP coupon--- is this in the "special" insert? Didn't get it. :(

P.S.: Sorry for all the questions. :I

  13. Hi All- Coupon.girl--per the wording on the back of the "Fuel for School Booklet" coupons: Consumer: Offer is limited to one coupon per two 8 ct or larger packages purchased ..... This is on the back of the Save $2.00 on Store Brand Bread wyb 2 Rice Krispies Treats--these coupons might actually attach to the Rice Krispies and not the "Bread". And per that wording it is not "proper" to stack. HTH I was looking at them myself to see how to use them the best way possible when I noticed the wording. =( Oh Well. I am going to use the -2 on Store Bread wyb Rice Krispies in one of my plans for tomorrow. SNS has rye bread @$2.22. Works for me since there are no Qs out for just Rice Krispies anyway. =)

  15. Hi coupon.girl - I think you might be able to get away with ziplock type bags, but not trash bags.

    ReplyDelete
  16. coupon-girl - The Keebler coupon was in the bigger insert that week - the one with all of the Uniliver products.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hi Janet - You're probably right on those Fuel for School coupons. I can't say I've ever read to closely the buy this get that coupons. Although, I remember someone commenting last week that they had gotten lots of free or almost free baggies with this coupon, but don't know if they were also using coupons on the cereal.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi Janet - Great shopping plan! Thanks for sharing.

I won't throw stones for 10 eggos from my house. My teen has been complaining I didn't have snacks in the house and he has been going through at least a box of Eggos a day. Thank goodness he eats them without butter & syrup.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I also didn't read the details too closely when using the fuel for school coupons last week. I used 3 of them, in addition to coupons for the cereal/snacks and at Schnucks the coupon took off $2 automatically without any trouble. (And, the bags I bought were only $1.52, but it took $2 off).

I also did a little price checking this morning, Kraft cheese is $2.28 and I was super rewarded with a manager's special on 99 cent per pound ground beef! Had to snatch that up:)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Jeri - Years ago I did shop with a buddy and we split B1G1's and other good deals. That did help a lot. I should just pair up with any single guy I find roaming around SNS!!

Where is everyone finding the Fuel For School booklets? I havent run across them yet.

    ReplyDelete
  21. saw the fuel for school booklets at the customer service desk @ the south lindbergh sns yesterday. also, found some tear pads by the kellogs crackers for $1.00 off produce wyb 1 box of crackers @ 2.00.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thank you ALL for the insights and info! You're all great! :)

Ms. Jeri, didn't get that insert on my 8/1/10 paper. I will just have to do with what I got. :)

  25. Just got back from what me and my family call "Midnight Madness"(we check out right at midnight. GM deal worked but no $10 Cat. The "manager" said she couln't do anything about it. Guess I have to go back in the tomorrow.

The "manager" was very rude. She told my mom that she couldn't use ANY coupons for free products, IP or not. Told my sister that she couldn't do 2 transactions without leaving the store. For our safty that late at night we always do 2+ without leaving. She said that as I stood there and did 2 transactions in a row. Gotta love it when they make their own rules.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hi All--Tiffany--There is no cat deal for the GM promo--it is only an instant savings. But if you purchase B/C Fruit Snacks or Nature Valley Granola Bars/Thins--these are producing cats as I stated in a pre. post. HTH

    ReplyDelete
  27. I should of been more specific-$10 Kelloggs Cat. Called the store this morning and said to just come back in for my Cat.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Check out this Kellog's fuel for school rebate. We can totally double dip! It says send original form but prints from this link - http://www.buyforlessok.com/WhatsNew/kelloggsrebate - hope they'll take it.

  29. Warm Delights are part of the GM deal. They are 3/$5. Plus there are $1 peelies for Cherrios. My GM deal looked like this:

    Buy 5 Warm Delights $8.35
    Buy 5 Cherrios $10
    Use 5 WD $.75 cpn= -$3.75
    Use 5 Cherrio $1 cpn= -$5.00
    -20%= -$3.67
    -GM deal= -$5
    = $.94 for everything

I used a $5/$50 so it was a MM for me

  30. Hi CJ - I've found the Fuel for School booklets in a large cardboard display that looks like a school bus. They are in a red pocket haging from the side of the display.

    ReplyDelete
  31. On the GM deal, can you buy 20 get $10 off? Has anyone tried this? I hate surprises at the register...and stopping at customer service.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thanks, everyone for the updates. I love hearing about what everyone bought and spent.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hi All--Did 2 trips--heading back out. You guys are doing great. Also--Tiffany good deal that CS will take care of it for you =) AND TY for the info on the Warm Delights!!!!!! Have them in one of my plans. Gotta Go =)

  34. Just got back from my 2 trips. May go back out for warm delights my parents love them. Great day for me. Will send a pic later.

Did the 10 sandwich cracker deal and there was a tear pad, buy two crackers get $1.00 off store brand soda. So really sweetened the deal. Plus, they gave me .33 on each in overage. Also, my store had 7th generation kleenexes of clearance for $1.15. I used the 1.00 off coupon and got 10 of them for almost nothing. Really great day so far.

  35. I was just at the Shrewsbury location. On my first trip I bought 30 GM items, and the register only gave me $10 instant cash, but the catalina gave me 3 sets of 50 box tops. I went to customer service, and they gave me $5 in cash. On my second trip, I bought 10 GM items, and, once again, the catalina gave me the 50 box tops, but I didn't get the $5 instant cash. I went to customer service, and they gave me the $5 in cash and are now calling corporate to see if they can fix it. So, be sure to check your receipts!

  36. I am so excited about the rebate--I wonder if it will work. I found the booklet in the store, but not the rebate. Has anyone found the rebate form in store...I'd feel better about sending in an original form. I did two transactions today. Wish I could go again! Kelly

    ReplyDelete
  37. I have not found the rebate form yet this year. Last year it was in a newspaper insert...
I am not so sure they will accept the printout...

  38. Hi All--Hope everyone did great on their trips =) I am to tired to list everything and Jeri might not want me to type up a 7 trip shopping adventure. Total OOP for all 7 trips $22.24 and $13.50 in Cats and survey for next week. Also the Kelloggs mail in rebate floating around went to stores that do not have the catalina systems setup or was available online in those stores ads. I did trade for a couple because they are not "Store name" only. Hope they work-that will be another $20.00 back =) HTH

  39. Janet-we need pictures!! Holy cow, that's impressive. I was so happy to find the shelves nicely stocked today--even at 6:30! My dear hubby even took a long 'lunch' and did 2 transactions for me as I feared there would be nothing left. I couldn't resist one final transaction and was shocked to find everything still stocked! Maybe they're learning.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Janet, great job! Wish I did as good as you did.:) Which stores' ad can we get the rebate form online? Pls Do Share. TIA. :)

I was hoping to get the Cinnabon "rebate box" but the boxes left on the shelf were not. So, any other Kelloggs rebate form will be sweet. :)

  41. Someone help me out. Last night I bought 6 cans of Pillsbury refrigerated dough, 2 Toaster Strudel, and 2 Sweet Moments. I was expecting to get the $5 instant savings but did not. I read the ad and thought I had purchased something that wasn't included. Should I have gotten it?? Let me know....Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hi Allison - It looks to me like you should have gotten the $5 off for you GM purchase. If I were you, I would put those 10 items back in a bag and head back to the store.

It is not uncommon at SNS on a Catalina deal that one of the items does not get entered into there system that triggers the Cat. I would imagine it's no different with the instant savings. They should be able to fix it at customer service.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Holy Cow! I agree. I'll post shoppers pics if you want to send them.

I only made one trip to SNS in the morning. It's good to hear they had enough stock to last the day.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Good Morning to All--I would have taken pics/should have taken pics--I do not think I could have fit it all on my dining room table =) I already seperated out what I have gotten for my mom. If you all want a list--I will be glad to type one up. Yes- I too was happy SNS was well stocked over here. Also--a PP had put an address up for the Kelloggs rebate info they found online. Not sure if Kelloggs wanted it out that way--thats why I traded for the original forms from the stores. My lowest transaction yesterday was $.28--this was with a really young cashier(he was great about all my Qs) and I rec'd back the Free Pork Tenderloin Q and a $5.00 Ice Mountain Cat--at that point I think he was more excited than me. =)

  45. Wow what a tday at Shop n Save!! I am so stocked up on everything for months. My daughter is moving out finally and I will also be able to stock up her pantry. I told my husband yesterday morning as he left for work I will be out spending money today. Not!! I have to leave everything on the counter tell he gets home (except perishables of course)so he can see everthing I got. He now tells me to go shopping anytime I want to.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hi Janet - I agree, I don't think the Kellogg's rebate found on line was the intensions of Kellogg's. I'm not sure it will be honored. You don't need to type up a list.

Hi Lynda - We all need one of these great weeks every once in awhile to get our fix of "coupon high".

    ReplyDelete
  47. 6 trips and I am exhausted! I too was glad to see everything pretty well stocked. Only a minor problem-- 2 of my $5 GM did not come off. Have to go back to CS today and get a refund. I am cereal stocked to the next century, but can't seem to pass up these great deals.

Now I'm ready for another diet coke deal. We bought 20 cases the last time they were down to 1.97 and now we are on our last one!!

  48. Did SNS quit accepting MQ's for free products? I tried to use Kraft Vocal Point coupons and was told I couldn't. I have read their IP coupon policy, but I can't find one for MQ's that are not printed.

  49. Hi couponmama - Did you take the new one with you for those six trips to SNS?

Hopefully, Coke will be on sale for the Labor Day Weekend.

  50. Hi Judy - I used coupons for FREE 20 oz. Cokes yesterday without any problems. If I were you I would contact corporate with the particulars of your situation.
