I'm not surprised with the results. Even though Dierbergs feels like it should be the most expensive store and Shop 'n Save the cheapest - they're not, always.
Your thoughts and comments?
Thanks for putting this together it helped so much. I was going to hit shop n save but didn't really need to spend $50 but now after seeing this I'll be heading to dierbergs for just a few o the good buys

I am not surprised at all with these results. I posted a number of months ago that I wish Shop n Save would just reduce some prices and drop the 10 off 50. I know I made get some bad posts for this but after talking to the gals who work there they told me they are having to raise prices because of the 10 off 50.
ReplyDeleteThanks much, Jeri. I hadn't put the numbers out yet, but it seems as if Dierbergs has the best bargains overall this week.
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteJeri, Once Again Thank you for putting things together like this to show us we can do better if we shop around. I knew I would be skipping the GM promo at SNS since there was no Cat back involved. And you clearly show Dierbergs with the instant savings would be the place to stop if you needed these items.
Lynda, I for one would hope no one would say anything bad towards you for stating your opinion. =)
I like the fact that we can all come here and pick and choose what/how we plan/prepare to do our shopping to continue to save our families the most money we can in any way we can.
Have a great day to all.
EXCELLENT! I was going to do this very thing but you did it for me! YEAH! TYVM for doing this Jeri.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Dierbergs it is!
Also, my son's school is doing their box tops drive this week. I figured that by the end of the week I'd have a bunch of extra box tops to clip b/c of these deals. Now since Dierbergs is offering the extra box tops I get to double up on the tops. All those dimes add up for the schools!
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to do this I had figured some on my own but it still seems to take me a long time to figure out if it is a good deal or not
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I hit Dierbergs twice today & have 300 box top slips for the kids to take to school & that's not including the ones I have to clip still :) I wasn't too excited about this week until this morning now I will use my free coupons toward Shop N Save tomorrow :)
ReplyDeletethanks thanks thanks, Jeri!
ReplyDeleteand thanks to all the Q Traders who sent me Progresso Soup coupons! I will be loading up on $.50 soup this week. These are perfect for the food pantry because:
1. no need to water down
2. pop top! (homeless people don't generally walk around with can openers)
3. A full meal in a can - and it fills you up!
Thanks again everyone!!!!

Hi All
ReplyDeleteMy goal of putting this list togehter was not only to compare the deals for myself, but so readers wouldn't get so wrapped up in SNS's $10 off $50.
I've saved a ton of money at SNS, but only when I think through what I'm going to buy and see if it's really a good deal.
I totally agree Jeri! I finally started looking at the deals & figuring if we actually need those items or am I buying them just because it's a good sale....this week I only saved 63% at SNS, BUT we got a bunch of stuff we needed along with freebies :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rachelstl - I doesn't matter what % you saved, if you don't have anything in the house to put dinner togeather.
