  1. Hi All - If you looked at this list the first few hours it was posted and thought it looked short - it was.

Some how I lost a page and half of the ad matchups while I was working on them (I must have clicked on something I shouldn't have). Anyway, I've fixed the problem and matchups are complete now.

  4. Another question from me...

At SNS can you get a duplicate receipt at the register and does the receipt say "duplicate receipt" on it? I'd love to do the gum rebate and a Snapple rebate in the same order on Thursday. TIA!

    1. Hi Kara - I don't have an answer for you. I've never asked about a duplicate receipt at SNS. You might want to stop before Thursday and purchase a couple of inexpensive items to see if you can get one and what it says.

Keep us posted if you figure this one out.

    2. I bought a bottle of diet coke this morning and asked for a duplicate receipt. Unfortunately, it says duplicate receipt 4 times on it. :(

    $4.48 x 2 = $8.96
    - (2) $2 IP's from liking Magnum on FB

Get $2 OYNO for buying 2 Magnum

    Thursday's price = around $3.17
Get $2 OYNO for buying 2 Magnum
So around $1.17 for two boxes!

Thinking that the Magnum would be a great filler to get up to $50 on Thursday, if you are having trouble getting there.

  10. Good Afternoon to All,

Wanting to let everyone know that the jury has come in with a verdict. Just received my phone call back regarding our instant off deals and how they work on -$10/$50 Thursdays and after the computer updates the instants Will Not count toward the $50 min purchase required. So there we have it. Yep it stinks but now we can plan accordingly.

  13. Are the "coupon available in store" generally store coupons and do you ask for them at the register? If it is a store coupon, does SNS allow it to be stacked with a manufacturers coupon? If it is a store coupon and we can stack w/ a man. coupon the Lay's deal would be good on Thurs. Get $9 toward the $50, but pay $3 OOP w/ store coupon and (3) Salty Snack NBPR coupons.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Kara - The coupons avoidable in store are almost always Manufacturer coupon. I'm not sure I've ever seen a store coupon advertised that way.

SNS occasionally has had store coupons printed in their ad, but it's been awhile. And yes, you can stack a store and manuf. coupon at SNS.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks for the info! Still trying to learn all the polices around here, especially since none of the stores have much in writing. I had a "fun" time at Dierbergs this morning with a NBPR coupon for hamburger patties. The front end person had a LONG conversation with someone on the phone and ultimately took 3 of the ones I had. She said she would have to call the main office to see if they could take NBPR in the future and took my name and number. While I was waiting the cashier was saying that in the ad it states they can only take 3 identical coupons. I looked at the ad when I got home and to me it reads that they can only double 3 identical coupons...

    2. Hi Kara,

My Magnum one printed also, but it had a small piece of paper attached to it that had the same small print that was on the Magnum coupon, but it didn't have the $4 off part with it. I tried talking to a store manager and he said he would do some research on it and I should contact him in a day or so.

  26. Has anyone noticed the tax amounts being wrong? Just returned from a trip and after coupons (but before tax) my total was $1.33 and then I was charged $1.13 in tax. I did use a $20 cat, but I don't think that's it. The tax would be more if that was messing things up. Since they redid or fixed the computer to scan the new barcodes and also since Instant Savings Deals are applied before the $10/$50, I'm wondering if they messed up the tax calculation also. If anyone figures it out, let me know! My brain hurts and I can't think at the moment. LOL!

    1. This tax problem happened all three times I shopped. I tried to explain it to the man at customer service, but he was sure a $1+ tax on less than $2 was correct. Really?

I am quite sure it is the $20 Catalina. I have had this problem with these gift card Catalinas before. I will email corporate in the morning. I have had the incorrect taxes refunded in the past (although I did have to go and get it.) I know the extra amount will go to the state and not be a profit for SnS. However, they need to follow the state regulations. I hope EVERYONE will examine their receipts and contact SnS. If enough people do that, perhaps it will be corrected in the future.

      Delete
    2. KC, yes, I've dealt with the online CS people regarding the tax issue in the past also. The first time they had the $20 off cats I didn't bother getting a refund from the store (but I did contact CS online). The second time I did contact CS online and they issued me a GC. I will be emailing them also, but it's hard to email them when I can't figure out for the life of me what's wrong or how the register is calculating it all! I did three transactions, but was only overcharged on tax on two of those...and those two were times I used the $20 cat, so it must be that in some way. If you figure out anything, please post on here. I'll try to email them tomorrow if I get a chance.

    3. Hi Julie & KC - You are brave woman tying to explain the Missouri Sales Tax Statute to a Customer Service employee. It's hard enough to get someone at a Corporate office to listen to you when they are figuring tax incorrectly.

I agree, everyone who was overcharged on tax should call the corporate office.

    4. Are the $20 cats considered store coupons, not manuf coupons? I read the tax statute once and I think there is something in it that alludes to only manuf coupons being taken out of the equation when figuring the tax, or at least thats how stores interpret the statue.

    5. CJ, I have the tax statue saved somewhere on one of my computers and can provide that if necessary, but no, all coupons (manu and store) should be taken off and then the tax calculated. I'm going to email CS right now.

    7. I emailed Shop 'n Save and listed the tax regulation and info about my three receipts. I received this reply:

I had this issue looked into and corrected with all stores. Thank you for bringing this error to our attention.

I was instructed to bring in the receipts for a refund. Since I was using one for the gum rebate which will need to be postmarked before I return to that store I was not thrilled. Also when I examined my file on dealing with tax issues, I had the exact same issue with Shop 'n Save last June. I firmly believe when someone makes a mistake, that person should correct it. Asking me to return to the store shifts the responsibility back to me.

EVERYONE with this error should contact Shop 'n Save.

Also anyone who uses this Catalina after this, please let me know if the problem is corrected.

    8. Yep, I received basically the same response, to take my receipts and get them to refund the amount. Not happy about having to return to the store, but will do it if I'm in the area.

    9. Thanks KC and Julie for taking your time to contact SNS and get this issue fixed (hopefully) for all of us.

    10. I think a lot of the time when customers bring errors to the store's attention, the store doest bother to correct it and I suspect sometimes they do it on purpose. I shopped at 7pm on Thurs and when I told them about the Jello catalina they acted like they didnt know there was a problem. I'm sure other shoppers must have asked about it during the day, as the shelf was almost bare of Jello so many people had to have bought it that day. Yet at 7pm the deal was still malfunctioning and they hadnt corrected it. Sometimes I think stores dont correct errors because they know most shoppers wont bother to question them about it and they can make money on the error. Thats a bad way to do business.

    11. Well I was typing a big long email to SNS about the Jello catalina problem when my laptop decided it needed to install updates and shut down and took my email with it :( I'm too ticked off to try to type it all again. I doubt SNS cares anyway.

    1. Holy cow Janet! You are the coupon queen!
We just got one GC for Lowes for my kid's swingset refurb. May play around with getting another GC later this week for Father's day...not sure if I'll use the cat for more OM (have a bunch of OM coupons that expire 6/30) or if I'll save it. EVE

    4. Hi Janet,
What do you mean by "Estimated cost of coupons used $25"? Did you mean that you had spent $25 to buy the coupons you used or that the total value of manf. coupons you used was $25? Did you have a $5 Ent. Book coupon for each of your 10 orders? I would also love to shop, check out,bag my own groceries,& load the car on an average of 12 minutes per order. Sure would like to know your secret & save myself a lot of hassle! Nine out of ten times I end up having to go to Customer Service because of error(s) on the receipt because of coupons being missed or some other problem!

    5. Well shoot, I just realized I didnt use an EB coupon on Thurs :( Thanks for the reminder.

    6. Hi qpons2,

Yes I did purchase $25 in coupons to use for Thursday and yes an EBQ was used in each trans. I did notice a couple errors in my posting one regarding how many $20 GC Cats I used was actually 10 and I bought Baileys Creamer and not International Delights.

I carry two large coolers with me on these days to put meats etc in. I also use tote bags and bag the items right at my truck. The little planning I do goes a very long way when I get to the store. Every transaction is written out with coupons paperclipped to the transaction and I do not have to vary from my list to often. I have a Great Staff at the store I shop and that goes a long way also.

One thing I have noticed is that after the computer updates I am no longer needing a CS override with the special key at the register when the transactions are finished. This has shaved a little time off the wait. =) HTH

  29. coupon.girl,
My cat for the Magnum bars was for $2, but after that printed out, a small square piece of paper followed with a lot of small print. It was the same small print that was on the right side of the Magnum cat telling how the coupon should be used, but it didn't have the coupon part of it attached to it. When the manager tried to print one for me at Customer Service, it generated the same sized piece of paper with the same words on it that I received at checkout. I'm not sure what is going on, but the manager was going to do some research on it by calling the corporate office of Shop 'n Save. Hope this makes sense to you now.

  30. Hi All - Sounds like lots of problems with Catalina coupons printing.

    Here's the Catalina's phone number (877) 210-1917, option 1

Have your receipt in had when you call them. It takes at least 24 hours before they have records to confirm you should have received a Cat coupon.

  31. I ended up going to SNS yesterday afterall. The cat for the Jello puddings didnt print but customer service gave me $2.10 back in cash so I was pleased with that. Bought 3 cases of Friskies, 3 Jellos and $3 of deli chicken nuggets. Saved $18.30 with all the discounts and coupons.
