Aldi Price Check - Avocados, Strawberries, Ranier Cherries, + More

July 12, 2009

Some items are consistently cheaper at Aldi than the grocery stores, such as lemons, pineapples & milk, but not all items are. The last few weeks the grocery stores have been selling broccoli crowns for $1 a pound - Aldi price $1.79 for 14 oz. package. Aldi isn't always cheaper.

Coupon.girl asked me to see if Aldi sold bagged spinach. There was no spinach this week, but I'll keep an eye out for it. If anyone else has a price check request, leave a comment or email be and I'll add it to my list.

If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been a while:1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons.
