Schnucks - Pillsbury Catalina Deal

The Pillsbury products on sale 10/$10 this week at Schnucks are producing Catalina coupons. I've heard from several readers and ran out myself this to try and figure this deal out. Courtney received a $2 Catalina when she bought 4, Trish received a 3 Catalina when she bought 5 and I received a $4 Catalina when I bought 6 Pillsbury products.

I found this Pillsbury Catalina deal running at a grocery store out east until 11/1/09 ; it sounds like the deal that is running at Schnucks now.

Edit: Metro East Mom received at Catalina advertising this deal at Schnucks. The Catalina will run through 11/1/09. But hurry, the 10/$10 is over on the 11th.

  2. I'm assuming that this works on the small tubes of 4 or 5 since those are the ones on sale and doesn't need to be the full size?

  3. Also, just a reminder - the .40/2 in 8/9GM and 10/4 GM will double so will also be a small MM - about 6c mm each tube of sweet rolls.

  4. Jen - Yes, the small tubes work for the Cat.

  5. Thanks so much for this information. I wasn't aware of this deal until now. I went to Schnucks today and bought 6 with $1 coupons, then rolled that $4 cat into 4 more, then rolled that $2 cat into 2 more (well..it was more complicated than that because I had some $.40/2 Q's and I ended up with 17 cans total) and the following printed out of the cat machine:

  6. Metro East Mom - Wow! fantastic job rolling those cats.

Thank a bunch for the details on the Cat. I was only guessing what it really was and didn't know for sure how long it lasted

  8. I agree, hmmmm. Signage was still up at my Schnucks yesterday, but I figured the just hadn't taken it down. I'll see if I can get any more information. Thanks for the info.

  9. Did this yesterday and it worked perfectly. I bought 6 items, used 6 - $1 coupons and got a $4 Catalina back!

I was so excited I decided to go back again today to roll it. Went to a different Schnucks. BIG mistake. I tried to do 2 separate transactions of 6. The first, I rolled my $4 Cat and used a couple of $1/3 coupons. No Catalina and no way to complain about not getting it! Then I was stuck doing the second transaction because I had already asked the nice cashier if I could do 2 and had other items in each order for padding. Ughhhh.

Lesson learned. If it works at one store, don't assume it's going to work at another. And don't get greedy!

All in all, I ended up getting 18 tubes for $3.60, or $0.20 each. Not bad, but I could have just stopped at 6 with a profit of $4!

  10. I did the catalina at 3 different stores. It does not roll(a friend tried and failed), and you can't do more than 6 in one transaction( I failed with this, but CS fixed it for me by reringing it up).

Also Jeri, when you go to print a post(very cool option, btw:), it doesn't pring the entire post, just the page that the computer regonizes. Have you heard from anyone else having this problem?

Happy Last day of sweet rolls(who knows what the deals will be tomorrow).

  11. em - I'm sorry you had problems. Did you go to Customer Service to ask about the situation? I've never heard of Cats not rolling. Catalina deals should be running at every Schnucks store.

  12. Audrey - The key to Catalinas is the word more. From what I've expierenced, if the Cat deal says, purchse x number or more then you will only get one Cat no matter how many you purchase. The yeast deals dosen't say more and you will get a Cat for every one you purchase.

My technical support, oldest son, set up the print post feature shortly before he left for college. I tried it today and had problems also. I think I'll remove it until he comes home for Thanksgiving. Thanks for letting me know it wasn't working.

  13. I didn't go to customer service because without an ad or sign to back me up, I didn't have any proof of the Cat. Wasn't prepared to deal with the blank stares early in the morning. Oh well.

  14. em - Oh, I understnad the blank stares. I've been known to go to Customer Service and tell them "A friend of mine told me...." I'm always a little suspect of information I read on line. (I can't believe I said that - I write this info.)

They should have the info or be able to conatact corporate. The supervior/manager usually is the best person to deal with. But, I understand walking away. Sometimes, it's just not worth the time.
