Trade your Register Rewards for Shop 'n Save Coupons

Weeek of 11/15/09

Again this week, Walgreens has a $10 off the Entertainment Book coupon in their ad. Pick up an Entertainment Book with this coupon for $25.

The St Louis edition of the Entertainment Book has (6) $5 off $50 Shop 'n Save coupons. Good through 11/1/2010!

Use the Register Rewards you've been able to acquire with money-making deals, plus a few fillers, and you have a FREE Entertainment book with $30 of Shop 'n Save coupons.

If your store is runs out of Entertainment Books, ask for a raincheck. Rainchecks don't expire at Walgreens, so you will have time to amass a few Register Rewards to pay for it.

Remember: Register Rewards are manufacture coupons and at Walgreens, you have to purchase at least one item per manufacturer coupon you use.

  1. Where do you get the Walgreens add from?

  2. The coupon is in the weekly ad that you get in the Sunday paper or on a stand just inside the front door at Walgreens.

  3. Early ads are handed to store management weeks ahead of time, so changing the store and prepping can be done effectively. Also ads from B&M seem to walk out of printing plants almost immediately after the first run.

Now certain Wags will bring up bundles of the upcoming ads on Saturday and leave them expose in the 'island' register area. Weeks when there are no coupon inserts and I'm not buying a Sunday paper, I just grab an ad without any hassle. If you just see the current ads, most likely the staff will refuse to fetch the upcoming ad.

  4. Samantha - If you don't see the Walgreens ads by the fornt door, ask at the coutner. They usually have a few there also.

Some cashiers are really good about rining up the Walgreens coupons even when the customer dosen't know they exist.

  5. Does anyone know if you can use the $5 coupons for Shop N Save with $10/$50 Thursday when they do it?

    Thanks!

  6. Yes Kara you can use the $5 coupon when you do the $10 off $50 at ShopNSave. Better yet, buy $50 ShopnSave gift card first at Customer Service using one $5 coupon. Then when you do the $10 off $50, use another $5 coupon then pay using the gift card. It would be like using (2) $5 coupons on Coupon Thursday. :)

  7. Thanks coupon.girl for answereing Kara's question. I't a great deal to use a $5 off $50 coupon on Thursday. $15 off before you even think of handing the cashier your other coupons.

I also like the idea of purchasing a gift card for $45 with one of the coupons. The only problem I see with doing that is tying up your grocery budget at SNS. It would take me weeks to spend $50 out of pocket at SNS :)

  8. I rarely spend more than $30 in any trip to SNS so the $5/50 Entertainment book coupons dont do me much good that way. So I use them to purchase gift cards that I can use anytime for any amount. I love that we can use those coupons either way.

  9. CJ - That makes a lot of sense. I forget that those who don't have a teenage boy or two to feed, need a lot less food in the house.

  10. Jeri - No teenage boys in my house, just 2 hungry kitties but I buy most of their food at PetsMart so that lowers my totals at the grocery.
