  1. Jeri - I could not wait for your post!! TYVM

Do you think that there is a chance Pillsbury Grands could be a double-dip (like the OEP from a couple of weeks ago)? There is a national catalina running on the Grands 10/04 - 10/31.

My sale does not start til tomorrow so if I don't hear anything, I will try it and let y'all know!

    ReplyDelete
  2. If you buy 12 products in transaction, will 2 catalinas print off? Or do you have to buy 6 at a time? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hi - where did you find the information regarding a national catalina on the Grands? Is there a list?

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Regarding the catalina: Recently, catalina marketing launched a site but it does not seem that it is up-to-date at the moment. I just know that I received the catalina announcement at a competitor grocery store (kroger).

  5. Hi gspice6 - I haven't heard and don't know if there will be a double dip.

The last GM Cat at Schnucks had more products in it than was listed in the ad. I'm hoping to get to Schnucks to see if that might be the case this time too.

I have to ask, where do you live that the sales start on Wed?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Hi Jenny B - I don't know if this Cat will stack. Unless you're shopping at Crestwood, split up your puchase into two transactions and use the first Cat to help pay for the second transaction.

If you're shopping at Crestwood, you could always ask Customer Service to ring up 12 products to see what will happen, but you have to have very friendly CS employees for that to happen.

  7. Jeri -I am in the Memphis area but found your blog recently and love the good info! Our sales are all pretty much the same except ours have Wed-Tues sales cycle and stores double up to .60.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Does the Crestwood Schnucks honor the Sappington Market coupon, too?

The Frank's hot sauce coupon is in the SS, not RP.

  10. Does anyone know if the Nature Valley catalina is working at Schnucks? To double dip on the nut clusters. We love those :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. I noticed Act II popcorn is on sale for $1. In the SS ad I received with my 9/26 weekend Suburban Journal there was a 40 cent coupon which would double making the popcorn 20 cents. I did not get that coupon in the SS that came with the Post Dispatch that weekend. If you get Journal ads, you might want to check for that coupon.

  12. Hi All & gspice6-Catalina Marketing is launching a new site where you input you stores and see what deals are going on in your area and they are going to have printable coupons. I do believe Kroger has diferent cat deals than us with different start dates. The Pillsbury cat deal you mention is not on the National Catalina list for SuperValu stores hence it may only be at Kroger.

I have not been to Schnucks to see if the GM promo stacks--if someone does Please report back. I'm sure all Jeri's peeps would love to here if it does or not.

RE: Nature Valley Catalina, the info sheet states: Nature Valley Granola Bars--so we may not know the answer til someone tries it. I have not rec'd any info if the Clusters work--I would like to know if the Granola Thins are part of it also. HTH

  13. Hi gspice6 - We can only dream of a coupon over .40 doubling. I bet that exta .20 really makes a difference.

    ReplyDelete
  14. T - I don't know of the Crestwood Schnucks matches Sappington's coupon. Has anyone asked that shops there?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi KC - Thanks for the info on the ACT II coupon being in the Journal.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh. I just noticed in your comment to Jenny B that you mentioned shopping at Crestwood and splitting transactions. I thought maybe they matched something I didn't know about.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hi T - Opps, my mistake. I forgot what chain I was talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Janet- The Nature Valley Cat works at Target, and the Granola Thins are not included in that offer. I would think it's the same deal but not sure.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Update from the field:

I bought 6 nv granola bars and 6 pills grands in the same transx and received three cats - two $3 for the store promo and one $3.50 from NV.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Went to Schnucks and bought:

    8x Totino's Pizza Rolls
    4x Pillsbury Pizza Crust

Only 1 Cat printed. My guess is it's either because the items aren't considered "equal" (1 pizza roll is not the same as 1 pizza crust), OR the Cats aren't printing but 1 per transaction.

    Thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ok..Just got back from the store...
    Bought
    6 Nature Valley Granola
    6 Pilsb. Simply Biscuits
    6 Pilsb. Refrige Cookies

Got 3-$3 and $3.50 from NV Granola Bars

    ReplyDelete
  22. Amanda did you buy it all in one transaction?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anonymous: Yep sure did and without any problems! :) Good coupon day! Headed back though to get more of other stuff wanted to make sure it worked ok.

    ReplyDelete
  24. gspice6 & Amanda- Thanks for testing the Cat to see if if was stacking and the Nature Valley was double dipping.

TB - I'm just back from Schnucks. I think the problem is the Pizza Crust. The sale price tag didn't advertise the Catalina like all the other participating proudcts did. I hope you went to Customer Service to fix the problem.

    ReplyDelete
  25. i found a 10 lb bag of chicken leg quarters for 3.00.

also saw a advertisement for a catalina when you buy two betty crocker frostings at schnucks and shop n save.

I purchased 4 boxes of barilla piccolini pasta and received a 2.00 coupon for my next purchase of three boxes..which would make the last three 33 cents a box.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Which Nature Valley granola bars did you buy?

I bought the Almond Crunch and the Pecan Crunch and no additional catalina for me.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I bought the Honey and Peanut Butter ones "Crunchy" ones. HTH.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hi Sadina - Thanks for the info.

Hi cyberjf - The Schnucks I was at had the Cat info on the shelf price stickers for each of the participating products. If you get back you might check to see if your store does also.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I went to get the simply biscuits since they are a 1.50 MM and out of three schnucks only one carries them...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hi Sadina - I had no idea the Simply biscuits would be that hard to find.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I bought PB Granola Bars - 4 and 1 bag of nut clusters. Rounded out that with a can of cinn rolls and got back a 3.50 NV cat and a 3.00 store cat.

So nut clusters should be working for nv cat.

Thanks for the info on the almond crunch and pecan crunch. I might not pick those up since there have been issues.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I spoke with the dairy guy at my Schnucks about the Simply biscuits. He said a few weeks ago they were not selling at all and they had lots of them expire at the warehouse. Now people are asking for them. (I smiled when he said that because I knew why!) It said it would be Saturday before my store had any.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I wouldn't have tried the Simply biscuits, but since they were a money maker, I stocked up. I made them for dinner last night and they are delicious!!! I even think they are better than Grands...healthier, too!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hi KC - Thanks for the update of what's going on with the Simply biscuits. I've yet to get to Schnucks to pick some up. I'm hoping they will have some.

Hi T - I'm very loyal to Grands too. I'm glad to hear the Simply biscuit are even better.

    ReplyDelete
  35. So I went to schnucks yesterday and did the nature valley twice. Granola bars, trail mix bars, sweet and salty bars and nut clusters all work for the nature valley cat. Granola thins do not!

Another great deal I did not see posted is barilla. When you buy 1 barilla pasta and 1 barilla sauce you get a $1 catalina. This is not posted anywhere at the store. Pasta is $1 sauce is $2. Use the $.55off pasta and $.75off sauce and pay $.70 for both. I do not know if this is rolling.

    ReplyDelete
  36. sorry it is rolling, not sure if it is stacking

    ReplyDelete
  37. I found lots of Simply biscuits at my Schnucks today just as the dairy guy said I would.
I think it has been mentioned before that Schnucks does not have their registers programed correctly for Catalinas -- meaning we still pay tax on the pre-Catalina amount. I have noticed that if I use self-check-out sometimes I do not have to pay tax. The screen prompts me to give my coupon to the cashier. He/she has to enter it from their screen. Depending upon how it is entered means I sometimes do not have to pay tax. In the regular check-out lanes since the Catalina scans, I always end up paying tax. In Missouri we should not have to pay tax.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi KC - The exact same thing has happend to me concerning tax at Schnucks. You are correct. Missouir state statute says that sales tax is calculated after coupons. Schnucks never seem to get this tax thing correct.
