    1. I agree, not at great week. The Wall Street Journal published an article last week about Supervalu and there new CEO.

      http://blogs.wsj.com/deals/2012/07/30/supervalus-new-ceo-we-will-prove-the-naysayers-wrong/

Sounds to me like prices might be coming down, but I'm sure the ads are put together several weeks if not months in advance.

  3. Good Morning to All,

Jeri-I am not sure the Doritos coupon will work on the ones on sale. The bags I checked yesterday was 11.5 oz and the coupon states 12 oz or larger. =(

Cheap Jimmy Dean Heat & Service sausages: $1.68 ea - $1 MQ.

    I will be doing:

    20 JD sausages =$33.60
    20 V8 =$17.20
    Total $50.80
    -$15 Thursday and EB discount
    -$15 V8 coupons
    -$20 JD sausage coupon
    =$.80 + tax

Will be doing this 2 times to stock the freezers-one pack left from last years deal. =)

    1. Thanks for checking on the Doritos. I'll update my post.

You've come up with a great shopping plan. For all those wondering the $1/1 Jimmy Dean coupon was in 7/29/12 RP.

    2. Hi Jeri,

I have to work Thursday and have to plan carefully. Since I have to work in Godfrey I will make a trip to SNS across the river and use up some -$2 on Beef coupons and stock up on some of the Ground Round. I plan on calling the store ahead and have the packs ready as to not take all out of the cases.

      15 1 lb packs of Ground Round est @ $2.50 =$37.50
      @ 4 Whole Chickens est $14.08
      Total: $51.58
      -$15 Thursday & EB discount
      -$30 Beef coupons
      -2 x $3 Cats from last week
      =$.58 + tax

Looks like a pretty good week to me. =) Then onto my reg store for more fun. =)

    3. 20 V8 for $17.20! Wow, that's only .86 each! Which V8 is that?
My V8 coupon is .75/2 off 46oz. or 6 pack cans. What V8 coupon do you have?

    4. I can't find the Jimmy Dean heat & serve for $1.68 in either of my store ads. Is this price available at other S&S stores?

      Delete
    5. Hi qpons2,

The JD Heat & Serve is everyday price not in either ad.

=) V8 coupon is -&.75/1 Any V8 16 oz or less tearpad coupon. The V8 single cans in juice isle are indeed $.86 ea. =) Great filler and I loooooooove my V8. If you need some I have extras email me through the CouponSTL Traders and they expire 8/31/12.

    7. I was just curious where you found a $2 off Ground Beef coupon?

      Delete
    8. Please let us know where you got the $2 off Ground beef coupon!!
      Thanks

      Delete
    9. The $2 off Ground Beef are probably "wine tags" or beer coupons. They look like the beer rebates, but are for $ off a product instead of a mail-in-rebate. Here in MO, recently there has been one for Tositos and Dip from Budweiser I think.
This is not a coupon you will find in your inserts or printable online. Look in your grocery stores and gas stations for this type of coupons.

  4. Does anyone have an idea how much a small ham would be (or how many lbs)? Trying to estimate cost for that ham deal. Also, does anyone know how much the Bayer 20 ct+ is?

    Thanks.

    1. Hi Anonymous,

I looked at a couple of the Kretschmar Half Hams as ad states and they where running $17.00+.

The Bayer 36 ct chewable low dose are $2.97 others over $3. I found only 1 box on the shelf of the 36 ct so stock might be an issue at some stores.

      Hope that Helps. =)

  13. Hi my name is jack and I am new to all of this. Shop and save is offering a ten dollar off next purchase coupon when you buy a 100 dollar visa pre paid card. Can I buy tje card and use the coupon the same day and also get the 10 dollar off Thursday deal and use the card to pay for it all?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Jack - There is an activation free on the prepaid card of about $5, so it's not quite as good deal as it looks. Yes you can buy the card and then in another transaction use the Catalina coupon and still get $10 off your $50 purchase. I don't know if you can use the card to shop. Does Shop 'n Save accept Visa cards as payment?

      Delete
    2. I know they take Visa credit cards - so the pre-paid shouldn't be any different.

    3. Hi Jen - Nope, it shouldn't be any different.

    4. Hi Jack,

Yep you are good to go as you want. Just remember like Jeri stated there is a $5.95 act. fee for the Visa GCs.

The Visa Debit can be used anywhere just like cash. Do it all the time. =)

Pretty amazing considering I lost my calculator right before I arrived at SNS and had to do all the math by hand. I was pleased with my 54% savings :)
