Walgreens Deals - Week of 10/25/09

Sale prices good October 25 - 31, 2009

Look for the Dulcolax ad in this week's flyer. It shows you can use a manufacturer coupon and receive a Register Reward. I'm going to cut this out, laminate it, and never shop at Walgreens again with it. If a cashier tells me I can't use a coupon and get a Register Reward, I'll just show them my little laminated card.

Remember, you can roll Register Rewards. Take a look at Quick Tip - Using Walgreens Register Rewards.

I highlight only the best deals. Take a look at Walgreens' full ad here (available on Sunday) or the ad scan at I Heart Wags

  1. Where are you seeing that B1G1 on the jumbo bagged candy for 6.99? My ad has it "buy 1 at 5.99, get 1 50% off" on the front page. I've gone through the ad aboaut 10 times, lol! Am I missing something?

  2. Warning on the Dentek... I bought floss/flossers at two different Wags today and neither one generated RRs. At one store, they just gave me $2 on a GC, but the mgr or asst mgr at the other store said that Dentek has pulled the offer. I have not confirmed what he said, but just wanted buyers to beware going in.

  3. Kelly - Oh my! Page 3 - buy one at $6.99 get 1 50% off. I think it was wishfully thinking that I read this B1G1. Thanks so much for catching my mistake. I'm sorry I wasted your time looking through the ad.

  4. Staci - Thanks for the info. Since you didn't get the RR at two different stores it makes me think it's true. DenTek isn't a very big consumer company. They might not have had any idea how much product couponers would buy.

  5. Jeri, no problem--you didn't waste my time! I look through the ad a lot anyway to make sure I'm seeing all the deals I want to do. :-) The front page price isn't too bad a deal if using the $2/1 printable coupon. Brings it to $2.50/bag for the 24 oz. bag. Just a little cheaper than the Schnucks price w/the $2 coupon for Butterfingers you mentioned in another post.

  6. I have a $2 coupon for the One A Day vitamins (exp 10/31 so it must have been in the inserts in the past month or two). So if you have that coup, the Bayer meter and vitamins are free after the $5 RR. Thanks for listing that deal, I missed it in the ad.

  7. I just stopped by my Walgreens about an hour ago and i did receive a $2.00 Dentek RR. I bought the 55ft textured floss on that was $2.00 and i used the $1.00 off coupon. It might just be the particular length that anonymous bought.

Thanks for all the help Jeri, stopped by that same Walgreens and had a nice chat with the man at the cosmetics counter. Was very pleasant and helpful. So maybe i won't swear off Wags...:)!!

  8. CJ - Thanks, I missed that coupon. We make a good team. What one misses the other catches :)

  9. Jenny, BIG KUDOS to that man and may his tribe increase/multiply/flow over to ALL Wags stores!!! :)

  10. The meter/vitamin deal wouldnt work for me but I did get the Ducolax and Beano. The Ducolax has a hangtag on it with a $3 coupon and $5 rebate form, which I managed to lose before I got home. Good thing there's an online form too! I forgot to use a $1RR that expires today. Oh darn, I'll have to make another Wags run later today :)

  11. CJ - Maybe it's a good think the meter/vitamin deal didn't work. The meter is going to be a $5 money-maker the week of 11/8.

I just hate it when I don't get home with something I know I had. I look for it forever before giving up and when I don't need it anymore it magically appears.

  12. Maybe Dentek only pulled the flosser RR deal. I tried to buy the flossers both times (there were signs there for those specific products as well that indicated the deal was to run through 10/31) when it didn't work. I'll have to give it another try with the actual floss since I still have some Qs left.

  13. Staci - I had heard it was only the 55 yd floss that was working ealier. I'm sorry I didn't clairfy which product you purchsed yesterday. But I wouldn't have been suprised if it was pulled.

  14. At the Crestwood Wags last night several of the Ducolax bottles had the hangtag but the $3 coupons had been taken off them, just leaving the $5 rebate form. Make sure you check yours and get the coupon with it.

  15. What is a tear pad coupon? I went to 2 different Wags today for the Softsoap deal and couldn't find a tear pad coupon. Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm a rookie! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Look closely at the hang tags on the Dulcolax. I thought the coupon was missing, but the tag was actually folded in half, with the coupon only being evident once you opened it up. The ring around the neck of the bottle was actually connected to the coupon, not the rebate form; so if the coupon is removed, the rebate no longer has anything to attach it to the bottle with. Not sure if that makes sense. In other words, look very carefully at the hang tag, the coupon may very well be there after all.

    Hope that helps someone!

    ~Staci

Oh, and the Stacy's Pita chips were 33% bonus bags at the Wags I went to. Made those an even better deal!

  17. Theresa - There are no stupid questions in couponing. I needed a traslator when I was a rookie.

Tearpad coupons are coupons you find in the store either with a display or on the shelf where the product is stocked.

It is possible your stores never had them or they are gone. Ask at the clerk at the cosmetic counter if they are in their store.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Staci - Thanks for the clarification of where to find the Dulcolax coupon and rebate.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Jeri - There is also a Dove conditioner rebate. Go to www.dovehair.com and look for the Dove Hair Repair Challenge. You need to send in within 45 days of purchase, and purchases between 1/1/09 and 12/31/09 qualify.

  20. While out at a North County Wags, I noticed some of the One A Day packages came with a free small bottle of Citracal. I forgot to check on the detail of the $3 MQ mentioned on the package.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Update on the One A Day.

I found packages at another Wags and they are pink. The Citracal is a 30# bottle. The MQ can be used on any >12# One A Day or any Citracal product.

  22. Another update on the One A Day.

Seems like the One A Day for Women Over 50 also is available in the pink package. Part of what Bayer Healthcare makes is donated to Breast Cancer causes.
