Aldi Price Check - Oranges, Grapefruit, Tangelos + More

December 27, 2009

Great prices on citrus at Aldi this week, but dairy prices continue to creep up. A few months ago, a gallon of milk was about .75 cheaper at Aldi than Schnucks - now only about .40 cheaper. I used to think a trip to Aldi was worth the time just for milk, but maybe not now.

If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been a while:
1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons

  1. Note that the upcoming special buys starts on Wednesday the 6th, not on Thursday. IMHO, those Fit &Active products are somewhat pricey.
