Saved 77% this Week

At first look, it didn't seem like the deals were that great this week, but I sure found a way to spend my budget and pick up some fantastic deals along the way. Anytime I have a freezer full of Breyer's Ice Cream, I'm happy.

Dierbergs
I loved the Unilever deal (spend $20, save $7 instantly). There might have been a better deal than Breyer's, but I couldn't look past the ice cream to find them. And, Kahiki bagged chicken is a new family favorite, especially at $1.99 per bag after coupon.

Before coupons & sales: $96.18
Total spent: $27.21
Total saved: $68.97 for 72%

Shop 'n Save
I don't shop at Shop 'n Save unless they offer $10 off $50 Thursday, but I had a Catalina coupon to spend. It was hard to have to spend it without $10 off $50 or another Catalina deal to purchase.

Before sales & coupons: $6.86
Total spent: $0.26
Total saved: $6.60 for 96%

Schnucks
I hadn't planned on a Schnucks trip this week, but then I heard about the Ziploc deal. $4 in Catalinas to start next week!

Before sales & coupons: $12.48
Total spent: $2.94
Total saved: $9.54 for 76%

CVS & Walgreens
The soap and soup is from CVS, the rest of the picture is from Walgreens. The new CVS's have some kinks to work out, but I love the way they treat customers. When the cashier didn't scan my Green Bag Tag, the manager told her to refund me $1. This manager understands the value of customer service, besides he was way too busy to dink with such a small problem.

Splurge Funds: $49.47

For those who don't read my blog on a regular basis, my splurge funds are the difference between what I've actually spent and my $50 budget. They are for those items I never find on sale or that I don't have coupons for.

  1. I just wanted to let you know how much I love your blog. I love reading about your shopping trips and seeing what you can find. I don't live in St Louis or anywhere near it. (I live in Alabama.) I started following you because of your Walgreens posts. I love how you put them together. But now, reading your weekly shopping posts are some of my favorites of the week. Thank you.

  2. Wow! Great savings!

This is my first time on your blog. I found you from MSM.

A question on the Sure deodorant you purchased at Wags. Does it say "Try me free" on the front? I have a post on my blog about the rebate for these. There was also some coupons for them in our Sunday's paper. I am in Western WA. Do you happen to remember what you paid? If they have that sticker on them make sure to submit for the rebate! :)

  4. Hi Gina - Thanks for reading. I like to look at blogs from other parts of the country too.

Jane - The sticker on my Sure for Men says 20% more. I haven't seen any of the Try me for free stickers for a long time.

I picked up the Sure for Men for free. $1.50 coupon from an insert and Walgreens in-ad coupon making them $1.50.

    Thanks for the rebate info.

  5. Spice - I used the coupons I listed in my weekly Walgreens post and had a $3 Register Reward from a previous week that I used. Once you get your feet wet shopping with coupons at Walgreens, it's not very hard to save that kind of money every week.
