  1. Pantene shampoos/conditioners are 2/$5 this week at CVS. If the Nature Fusion kind is included, then the $2/1 coupons from Vocalpoint (from awhile back) could be used to get each bottle for $.50!

  2. I got a $5 off $40 or $4 off $20 coupon today. Can this be used with all of my ecb and the sales. I haven't shopped at CVS enough to know. Most of my experiences have not been good yet anyway.

  3. Lynda - Use that coupon first to take the discount off the top and then use any other coupons, and then your ECB(s) last. Be careful of your ECBs at the end though - if your total after all other coupons is less than the ECB(s)you give, you can lose some of the value. For example if you have a $5 ECB and your total is $4, they will take the whole $5 value of the ECB, you wont get the $1 back. I hope I explained that in a way it makes sense.

I hear some people are getting $4/1 Stayfree coupons out of the red machine this week.

  4. Thanks CJ! I totally get it. I think With the way I have it figured I will make about $8 in ECB's. I hope they have what I need in stock. Every other time I have gone there they hasve been out of everything.

  5. Lynda - CVS is hit or miss for me most weeks, and I never buy enough to use the $20 or $40 coupons. Too far of a drive for me this week just for the free Fig Newtons.
Remember to get rain checks for the ECB items if they are out - you will still get the ECBs when the item is back in stock.

  6. Thanks CJ! They are a ways from me also but I have to go over that direction tomorrow. Otherwise I wouldn't be going.

  7. I also had a $5 off $40 and didn't think there were enough deals but I ended up getting: two free fig newtons, free huggies wipes (magic coupon machine coupon), used free hair color coupon that I had, used 2 $5 regenerist olay coupons from P&G Rebate booklet (which completed my $50 towards $20 Olay rebate) and two small CVS sunscreens that were a small money maker after $ECB. I love CVS!!!

  8. I wish I had a CVS that was close to me, I don't wan't to drive so far to get to one. I hope they open more around STL. On the other hand, I find Walgreens weirdly thrilling. There are just so many variables that I never know what to expect. :)

  9. Thanks, Emily for the reminder about the Vocalpoint coupons.

Hi Lynda - I know you've had problems finding products in stock, but if you've gotten rain checks it is the perfect time to use them when you get a $/$$ coupon.

Hi CJ - Thanks for explaining how the $/$$ coupons work.

Jenny B - Walgreens weirdly thrilling???? What a great attitude.

CVS is building more stores. I know of ones under construction in South City, Creve Coeur and West County. Hopefully one will be built close to you.

  10. Yipee!!! I have finally had total success at CVS! I had so many coupons and got so much free stuff. I went from $5 ECB to $15 and it only cost me $6.34. Tons of free stuff. This week between CVS and Walgreens it is awesome.

  11. Well I was gonna skip CVS this week but free Fig Newtons, free sunscreen, $1 ECB for my bag tag, and the possibility of free Huggies and free Stayfree with coupons from the magic machine might be enough to make me go! I might as well treat myself to El Pollo Loco, spend my $10 Kmart gift card and use my $10 Pennys coupon while I'm in the area!

  12. Hi Lynda - I'm so glad you finally had a great CVS trip. I love CVS because they are so easy to coupon at.

Hi CJ - That sounds like a good evening outing to me.

  13. No free sunscreen, Huggies or Stayfree at the SoCo CVS today, the magic machine was mean to me. But I did get 2 free Fig Newtons and 3 Tostitos. Paid .45 OOP after ECBs and I'll get $5 back for the Tostitos from a Dos Eqis rebate. Got 3 nice tops at Penneys and a delicious lunch at El Pollo Loco.

  14. Hi CJ - I've only been to El Pollo Loco once, but loved it. I hope they open more locaitons around town.

  15. Jeri - El Pollo Loco was great! I had leftovers today for lunch. I saw lots of EPL coupons online before they opened here and now hardly ever see coupons. There are 2 in the 2010 Entertainment book though.

  16. On my 2nd trip to a CVS ever, I had the cashier refuse to use the 2 oral b coupons on 2 toothbrushes. Then she got mad at me and started slamming down the toothbrushes when she tried to explain why I couldn't use the Qs and I said I still don't understand why if I have 2 products and 2 coupons. I had to walk out (and all the carts in the store had the childseat broken so I was having to carry my toddler and was especially annoyed after holding him on my hip and digging through my purse for my card, coupons, and ECBs. ugh! I am so disappointed after all the rave reviews.

  17. Hi Carrie - Sorry you had such an aggravating trip. This is the first I've heard of anyone not having a great expeirence (except for them being out of stock). It might be worth speaking with the managers, especially about the borken childseats.
