I wish for Perdue chicken tenderloins and Tostitos to be free! Can I be next to have my wish come true? :)
ReplyDeleteNICE!
ReplyDeleteI will forever be leary of Dierberg's *freebies* now after my $10 pot roast lol.
I wish for .50 cent red peppers, .69 cent mushrooms, .99 cent strawberries and 1.99 ground turkey. Or a sale on Thai curry paste :)
ReplyDeleteOr more than anything else double coupons up to .50 cents.
I miss the grocery stores in TX that would double up to .50 cents and triple up to .30 cents. Sometimes certain ones would do doubles up to a dollar that once a month, which is entirely better than nothing.
If you haven't used all your tortilla chips coupons, the Grande chips are priced $1.99. Trish
ReplyDeleteI love reading the "wishes". Couponers don't wish for too much, well, just a little CJ. :) I'm sure cheap Perdue Chicken and Tostiots would make you "dance."
ReplyDeleteHI Marcella - I've even depated $10 pot roast, because I knew it would be good.
ReplyDeleteI'm depating this freebie too. The free items are worth about $12. My son who is just finishing his freshman year at college isn't coming home for the summer and needs a few thinks to cook with. Yes, Mom's a little sad. I knew the time would come where he wouldn't be home for the summer, but I didn't plan on it his first year away.
Thanks, Trish!
ReplyDeleteThat all grocery stores had a 'percent saved' stamped on the bottom of the receipt.
ReplyDeleteAnd a way to get U Promise credit for all the stuff you end up getting with teh U Promise logo on it. In Texas you scan your store card and it is linked with U Promise...free money for college!
Hi Marcella - I too love receipts that show how much you saved. If I can read them. SNS and Walgreens does a good job, but I've never figured out Targets.
ReplyDeleteDid lots of people use U Promise in Texas?
I wish all receipts would show your grand total and then your total after coupons. Many of them dont print the before coupon total anymore. I supposed its easy enough to calculate it myself but I'm often lazy!
ReplyDeleteI have one word of caution regarding receipts that show how much you've saved. I work for Penney's and our receipts print that at the bottom. This is really not an accurate picture of how much you've saved. This amount is calculated from the actual retail prices of items and at Penney's, almost nothing actually sells at retail price EVER. If it does, it's only for the first couple days it's out. I think this is the case in most stores. I hate to say it, but the amount you think you've saved is most likely inflated, especially since none of us would ever pay retail price for anything! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Emily - I agree. I never pay full price for anything any more, but I used to. I still like the receipt to show how much I've saved, even though I know it's inflated.
