Hah, why would I shop at Shop N Save any other day but Thursday. The first time I ever went there I got super irked that the regular prices are really no different from Schnucks or Dierbergs, but I had to bag my own groceries!! At schnucks or dierbergs, they'll carry them out to the car for me! I have no problem bagging my own stuff at real discount stores, like Aldi, but on normal SNS days--it burns me up :)
ReplyDeleteI go to SNS usually once a week and just get a few things each time. I find their prices to be better than the other 2 big grocers and I actually prefer bagging my own. Last Thurs was the 1st $10 off day I'd been to in over a year. Its usually to crowded on $10 off days for me and I rarely need $50 in groceries in one trip.
ReplyDeleteI only go if we really need something and it is a good price. Otherwise, I only shop $10 off days.
ReplyDelete-Andrea
I can't! I'll only go if I have a cat I need to use. Trish
ReplyDeleteToo inconvenient for me! I have to have $10 off $50 to make it worth my time. But this time, I'm thinking about using my $5 cat to buy the already super cheap soda. We'll see how the week goes...Kelly
ReplyDelete@CJ...I too find their prices better than the other 2 big grocers, and I also prefer to bag my own. I don't use too many food coupons, so the doubles aren't a big draw for me at the other 2 stores either. Just wish I could get my favorite yogurt there, and that they had better meat sales.
ReplyDeleteI got to Shop N Save mainly on the 10 off days. Their prices are a little cheaper but I mainly buy things that are on a good sale or have a coupon for it. I will go to Aldis for basics like flower and sugar. But sometimes you can get the best deals at Dierbergs and coupons. Schnucks is my least favorite store. Bagging is no big deal because I don't usually have a lot of items.
ReplyDeleteI HATE bagging my own groceries, especially with kids who get fussy at the end of a shopping trip. And I always feel like I am in the way when I am bagging. For the things I buy I don't find their sale prices that much better than Schnucks or Dierbergs, and I live way closer to both of them, so I only shop there when there is a $10 off $50. Plus I have been treated rudely many times at SNS and have barely ever had a bad experience at the other two.
ReplyDeleteFYI, I received a market research survey last week when I bought 2 bags of Sun Chips. It came out with the catalinas. It directed me to a website, the survey was very bried, and I'll get a $5 dollar incentive. I'm not sure how random these are, but it was a very pleasant surprise. Trish in Wentzville
