IMHO, stacking MQ should always be viewed as a gray area or YMMV. Best to attempt with a full shopping cart and a deer in the headlight look on your face. If the cashier or others store employees say no, have the items unrang and next time shop at a more consumer friendly store.
ReplyDeleteLook I often shop later in the evening and usually on a $10 off $50 Thursday, my pile of MQ will lock up the cash register. Since there are hardly any lanes opened, those behind me are clueless fools who don't know the value of couponing. Sometime that is when I play fast and loose with a MQ, given any delays create a scene at certain stores.
Hi All--I did answer regarding my SNS trip and the Minute Maid in the reg. SNS title/thread. Maybe Ms. Jeri and copy that to here? Also, I agree with Kas--it is always a hit and miss and YMMV. I have had some cashiers ring the free item in first and I ask Kindly to take it off and do it last because I have other/better coupons. As in today, the cashier tried to ring the -2/4 Coke MQ and I had to ask for it to be taken off because I had the -2/2 Coke/Nabisco Qs I was using. Also--Kas--is this the same Kas that would post on HCW from time to time? If so--glad its you--you always have ideas to share. HTH =)

ReplyDeleteHi All--Just got back from SNS--Minute Maid does give $3.00 Cat wyb 4 MM. The cat states: Buy brand Minute Maid Fridge Packs between 6/25 & 7/18, B2G1, B3G2 or B4 or more G3. This does not stack--you have to buy 4 and no more to get the $3.00 Cat.
Coupon.girl--I think the best way is to have them scan all MQs first then the Free Brat one so it does not attach itself to the soda. Worked fine this way. I always try to hand over the coupons where you have to write in the amount last. This seems to work best this way from my experience. You might stop at CS and ask for the Free Brat Q so you can make sure to give it last. HTH Also I found in IL Wags--$3.00 on Water wyb any 12 pk or more of Bud beer. =) Got DH some Bud light and 3 cases of water for .48 each

And did your cashier ask for a coupon override from his supervisor after she rang up all items & coupons? Again, thanks for all the info. :)

ReplyDeleteCoupon.girl--Yes, I only used the -2/2 Coke/Nabisco and the Free Brat. The -2/2 I had was better than the other -2/4 Coke only Q. And I can go thru Cheese Nips like crazy. 4 Cokes-4 Crackers and the brats, used 4 -2/2 C&N and the Free Brats. Yes an override was required which is not unusual for me. =)
