Be on the lookout for this one. I found it on beer display in the produce department of a Shop 'n Save. But, it could be at any retailer that sells Bud Light Lime in any area of the store.
Save $6 via Mail-In Rebate on purchase of Fresh or Frozen Seafood
- No beer purchase required
- Valid for residents of AL, AR, CT, HI, KY, MA, ME, MN, MO, NJ, NY, RI, SD, UT, VA, and WV only
- Purchase must occur between 7/1/10 - 8/31/10
- Purchase price of Fresh or Frozen Seafood must exceed $10
- Submit dated cash register receipt with qualifying item price(s) circled.
For those not familiar with beer rebates, you periodically will find a rebate offer with a beer display. In Missouri, no beer purchase is ever required. The qualifying products are things you probably buy anyway. I've seen them for meat, cheese, salty snack, produce, soda and many other everyday items.
HI Jeri, do these rebates really work, as I filled two last month or so & I got this post card back from one saying "receipt was dated outside the valid range", I even didn't cared to copy the receipt as everything was acc. to rules....it was for chicken I guess & BUd light rebate.....any idea what to do...
ReplyDeletealso another ques. off the topic 3-4 months back did the rebate for olay soaps & body wash never got anything back, did any one send that rebate &got anything back....help...

Spice - I've done a few beer rebates and have had problems with 2 of them from CMS. CMS seems to forget that MO residents arent required to purchase beer. So you may have to call them to straighten out a rejection. I've only done one Budweiser rebate and I should be getting that check this week. I've never had any problems with Olay rebates, they always pay in good time. Call the toll free number on the form for help with that one.
ReplyDeleteHi Spice - I haven't had problems with Bud rebates. They have been my favorite becasue they are so easy.
ReplyDeleteIs there a contact number on the post card you got back? I might be able to find contact info if you don't have any. Email me if you need it.
I've had readers tell me, with other rebates, they have gotten a rebate denied for some crazy reason. When they contacted the rebate processor, they looked at it again and agreed they had qualified. I don't know if this type of thing happens on purpose or just incompetent people working at the processing company.
I didn't do the Olay rebate. Hopefully, CJ did and is reading.
Thanks, CJ - I see that you are reading.
ReplyDeleteI have never had an issue with Budweiser rebates either. I really think twice about the CMS ones though. Even when I have had them corrected over the phone, I have had 2 with the money never showing up. It wasn't worth the $2 to keep trying....
ReplyDeleteMy Olay rebates have come really quick too - I would call about that one.

Spice - My Olay rebates have normally come really quickly, but I had a heck of a time with that last one (with the body washes). They rejected me twice (due to a computer error they knew about), so I finally emailed Olay directly through their website and they sent me a check for $15 (the full amount of the rebate), no questions asked. I find that the rebate companies usually don't know everything and they'll just keep rejecting, so contact Olay!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I had spent $6 on three bodywashes and received $15, so I made an easy $9 by contacting them. I'm guessing you'll stand to make some money, too, so give it a shot!
Thanks everyone....Jeri Bud Light denial post card does have a toll free no. so I'll try to call them & for Olay I did spend $15 I'm not sure if I got $5 gift card for that deal or not so I'm def. going to contact them...let's see....will post what happens...
ReplyDeletethanks

Thanks everyone for sharing your expierences and I'm glad it worked out for you Spice.
ReplyDeleteI should keep track of my rebates. Sometimes I get letters for denial and ohers I forget about. I should call and question them more often. As it is now I just get a happy surprise in the mail now and then.
ReplyDeleteHi Marcella - I'm not very good about keeping track of my rebates either. Or even getting some of them sent it.
ReplyDeleteCJ can you help us? Any tips and tricks would be appreciated.
I keep a list of all my sent rebates - date sent, address, phone number, amount, and then check it off when I receive the check. I also photocopy the rebate form, UPC, receipt and sometimes even the envelope. As you can tell, I'm a tad fanatical about my rebates :) I send in $500-600 worth of rebates each year so I like to make sure I get my money back for my hard work.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips, CJ!
ReplyDeleteI sent in for a Bud Lime Rebate last year. I did everything right except make copies for me. I got a letter saying I didnt quilfy. After arguing with them they told me they would send my rebate if I resubmitt copies. I got screwed there.
ReplyDeleteIm looking to contact Bud right now. Im waiting on another rebate that I sent in back in Ma. This time I made copies so lets so what they tell me now.
Most rebate are reliable. I get replies within weeks. Bud Light isnt too relible as of yet.
Hi Anonymous - Sorry to hear about your troubles. I've never had a problem with an AB product rebate. But, I live within "smelling" distance of the brewery. Maybe it's my zip code that does the trick.
ReplyDeleteIt's always wise to make copies of any rebate you submitt. I've learned to scan everything and put them in a file on my computer. Saves money on paper and ink, and then I know where to find the copies if necessary.
