Sale prices good  -  November 25 - 27,  2010

Walgreens is open on Thanksgiving, although some stores might have Holiday hours.  The Thanksgiving only deals are listed at the bottom of this post.

Pint any coupons you want to use, NOW. They won't be around by the time Thanksgiving is here.  I'll be adding any additional coupon match-ups as they become available, so check back.

As I mentioned before, I'm teaming up this year with 18 other bloggers from around the country to bring you the best deals at the most popular Black Friday stores. Thanks to Ann at Coupons Deals and More for compiling the Walgreens Black Friday Deals.  Thanks, Ann!

  1. Ugh. Of course. When I am scheduled to be out of state :(. Well I will just have to take an empty suitcase to bring all my goodies back in. hehehe

  2. Hi couponmama - I hope you're driving. I'm not sure you can put all those bottles and jars on an airplane. You might have to ship it home.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Looks like I may be too busy at Wags and CVS on Thanksgiving to bother to eat. I might have to have my Tgiving dinner the day before!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Couponmama can bring the jars and bottles home by air if it's in checked baggage!
I'll be driving to upstate NY and am hoping to hit WAGs (perhaps with my sister-in-law who is a big bargain hunter!) Thanks Jeri for posting this so I can make my plans and list before we hit the road!!

  5. I couldnt get the Thermacare coupon to print. The Just For Men coupon said I'd already printed my limit, but I've never printed that coupon.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Hi CJ - Sorry you're having problems printing. I changed the ThermaCare link to the regiistration page. Give that page a try.

Hopefully, the Just for Men coupon isn't gone. I'll keep looking for another link.

  7. I have a coupon for $1 off one Right Guard product that I printed from SmartSource a couple months ago. It doesn't expire until 12-31-10. I've been holding onto it for a great sale. Glad I did becuase this will make the Right Guard Total Defense FREE after coupons and RR's - so check your coupon stash and see if you've held onto your coupon like me!

And question - If I buy the Right Guard that is a Henkel and Dial For Men Body Wash that is Henkel in one transaction - will I get the RR for both Henkel items? I don't think I've run into this issue in the past year that I've been doing these RR deals. I know I can't use the RR from the Dial to pay for the Right Guard and get another RR since they are both Henkels.

    Thanks for the heads up!

  8. THANKS so much for posting these. I Love them :) I can't wait!!! Just a question, will you be posting your 'plan for the day'? I am still ind of learning the RR system and would love to see a breakdown by transaction. Maybe all this shopping will help me burn of the mashed potatoes and gravy haha

  9. I am pretty sure I have used a RR from a manf to buy something else with RR from that same manf, just not the same thing. OR if it is the part of the same deal. I could be wrong. Anyone else remember doing this?

    ReplyDelete
  10. One more question, what do you all do with things that are money makers but you would never use... Is there a good place to donate? I know this should be easy around the holidays! I just know some things would go to waste in my cabinets but I hate to pass up stuff free or better, especially if it can go to someone who really needs it

  11. Yipee!!! Turkey and was shopping all in one day. Doesn't get much better than that. I am so glad I am not having Thanksgiving this year.

  12. Coupons listed for Centrum Silver (30 Ct) won't work, they are for a higher count.

  13. Hi All,

I think I am planning on doing a few rounds of:

    1 Secret Body Splash $3.49
    1 Olay Body Wash 2.99
    =$6.48
    -5.00 wyb Secret/Olay coupon
    =$1.48 + tax
    Get back a $3.50 & $3.00 RR =$6.50

Profit of $5.02 - tax =) Yipppppppeeeeee. I am sooooo glad I did not use those coupons yet. =)

I have done T day at my house for the past 5 years. The last couple years the bird goes in and I go shopping. I do all the prep work the day before so that makes it easy peasy.

I was thinking I might skip Wags on T day but with the Secret/Olay MM I will be there!!!!!!!!!!!! HTH =)

  14. Hi Spicyhuman - Yes, if you buy different offers from the same manufacturer in the same transaction, you will get RR for both offers. And, hopefully all of the RR will be working correctly on Thanksgiving morning.

Hi TwinMom - Yes, I plan on posting a $5 Scenario for the Black Friday ad.

There are lots of places to donate extra personal items. The best place is someplace easy & close to home. If you church doesn't have a program, ask your friends and neighbors if theirs does. Also, the Girl Scouts in Missouri pick up personal products at your door with April Showers.

Hi Anonymous - Sometimes RR will roll within the same manufacturers products, but you never quite know. I don't try, Walgreens shopping is hard enough as it is.

Thanks, Judy! I should have check size restrictions on the Centrum coupos better. I'll edit my post.

Hi Janet - Thanks for posting your Secret/Olay scenario.

  15. Hi Jeri, coupon for $.75/1 Gum Flosser

  16. I'm anticipating Wags reducing the price on the Secret/Olay coupon to the value of the Olay. It will still be a nice MM, though. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  17. I once tried to buy an Oral B toothbrush and a toothpaste (cant remember now if it was Colgate or Crest) that were both RR items and only one RR printed. The manager said it was because they were both part of the same deal, they were both in the same picture in the ad. So check the ad when it comes out to see if the Right Guard and the Dial For Men are within the same picture in the ad.
The Feed My People center on Kingston in south St Louis and Webster-Rock Hill Ministries on Waywire in Webster Groves both accept health care item donations.

  18. does anyone know of any good coupon blogs for the salt lake city/provo/orem, utah area?? I'm going to be out there to visit the inlaws the week of t-giving and want to try some local stores out there that maybe we dont have in stl ...

  19. Thanks, Judy! I included the GUM link to my post.

Thanks CJ for the places people can donate personal products.

  20. Do you think that you will still get the RR with the old spice body spray if you use the coupon to get it free w purchase of Secret?

  22. If any of you get Proctor & Gammble's free Rouge Magazine, there are good coupons that work well with some of these RR items:
$1 Crest White toothpaste, toothbrush or rinse
    $1 CoverGirl cosmetic product
$1 Olay body wash or hand & body lotion
$2 Venus Embrace razor or cartridge
Buy one Olay body wash and get a Zest, Ivory, or Safeguard bar, body wash or liquid hand soap free (up to $1.99)

  23. Teresita - Its been my experience that the price before coupon always triggers the RR, even if a coupon makes it free.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi Teresita - I agree with what CJ has expierenced. Price requirement to trigger a RR, ECB or Catalina coupon is always before manf. coupons.

Thanks, KC - I have to find my Rouge magazine. I hope my husband didn't throw it in the recyle bin thinking it was junck mail.

  26. I am confused... I have seen some scenarios online for black friday at Wags and I am still confused about "rolling" I see many P&G RRs on this day. How will those work? Can I buy multiple P&G in one trans and get all RRs? Can I use a RR from toothpaste to purchase something like body wash and get the RR? TIA

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hi Anonymous - If you buy more than one P&G deal in one transaction you will get multiple RR's. You just need to be careful they are seperate deals.

Example 1: If Gillette and Old Spice are listed in the ad together only one RR if you buy both in the same transaction

Exaple 2: If Gillette and Crest are listed in seperatly in the ad two RR when you buy both in the same transaction

I alway lump same deals together in my match-ups

Roll RR from the same manufacturer might or might not work. I stear clear of doing that just to make it easier. Sometimes you might read a P&G RR is rolling with the same product. I don't post those deals because it's not the intention of Walgreens that that happens. I just don't go there.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ok, cool I was thinking I was going to have to do a million transactions haha!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I just read on another blog to not use the $1 Olay coupon from the 10/31 P&G with the Olay body wash RR. The coupon and RR are somehow coded the same which causes the RR to not print.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hi CJ - Interesting. I haven't seen that info, but I haven't looked for it either. Can you tell me more.

    ReplyDelete
  31. On the Crest 3D in the matchups, it wouldn't be .50 ever right? I mean, it's free after RR and then those coupons would make it a MM. Or am I wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hi Anonymous - Yes, the Crest 3D is a .50 to $1 Money-Maker.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Jerri, Oh, I was reading that wrong. I was reading that it would cost .50 or be a $1 MM...not .50 MM or $1 MM. Sorry!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Jeri - Thats all I know about the Olay problem. Somehow the UPC on the coupon makes the register think you are using an Olay RR instead so it wont give you a new one. There was a similar problem at Wags a few months ago, I think that was with an Olay coupon too. I'm not going to try it, I have plenty of body wash already and dont want to make my transactions harder than they already will be!

  35. Kelly in West CountyNovember 25, 2010 at 3:31 AM

Just got back from my 10 transactions. What fun! (Although the ad did not take effect until 1:30 am.)

Here are some feedback based on comments above:

The $5 off olay wyb secret took the full $5 off for
me and did not give any problems buying the splash instead of deodarent.

The $2 clairol family q worked just fine on the herbal essence.

The $1 olay q worked fine on the body wash and still produced jingle cash.

The $0.99 RR did not print when we purchased the Hawaiian Punch or Diet Dr Pepper. It did print for the 7-Up. The manager gave us cash back since they didn't print. Some of the 7-Ups had $1/2 hang tag qs on them. 2 free sodas!

The blue nivea shave gel cans are not included in the sale - only the white. Make sure you pick up the correct Bic razors also. Only one type is included in the sale.

Jingle Cash (RR) still have a two week expiration.

That's all I can think of for now. ;-)
I purchased $106 of product and paid $6 OOP - but made a $21 profit! (it would have been $5 more but I "tipped" our cashier in small denomination RR for being so great. He was very appreciative.

    Happy Thanksgiving All!
I'm off to nap until CVS opens. LOL

Shelves were not always well stocked, but look on endcaps and free standing displays for additional product.

  36. Hi Kelly in West County - Wow! Thanks for the great report. I coppied your comments and posted them in Thanksgiving Shopping Field Notes. I didn't want anyone to miss your great info.
