When I went to cvs last week at the bottom of my receipt it said I only need 4.97 to get my $10 on $25 dollars in Nabisco products? Does anyone know anything about this? Also I am still trying to us my Black Friday rain checks. Does anyone know if Gillette Odor Shield is one of the Clinical strength ones?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Hi Lisa - You don't have to purchase an entire ECB deal in one transaction. The notation at the bottom of your receipt is telling you how much more you need to buy to trigger the Nabisco ECB.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming your receipt is from this week. If you would run out tonight and buy $5 more or the deals on the front page of the current ad, you would get a $10 ECB. Be strong - it's cold out ther tonight.
There is a Gillette Clinical Odor Shield, but it wasn't the one on the Black Friday sale.
Thank Jeri,
ReplyDeleteIt's funny becuase that was the only time I went to CVS this week and I only bought bounty and Angel Soft are either of those Nabisco products?
FYI - In order to try to snag my Electrasol Finish for the ECB deal, I decided I would head to CVS tonight. I asked last night when they typically have the next week's sales programmed and one of the workers told me that they usually have them in first thing Saturday morning (around 8 a.m.) and run both ads on Saturday. I can't confirm that it was updated that early, but I was able to to successfully purchase what I needed around 5:30 p.m. We should be good on dishwasher detergent for the year. Now I just need a deal on toilet paper! =)
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteStaci, I went in last week to ck the Finish stock and talked to the Manager at our little CVS and she then ordered the amount of boxes for me this week. That way I give them a heads up on what might be Hot and I still get what I need also. She was very greatful that I let her know. And also remember to get a Rain Check if your store it out. I been thinking about TP also. If I come up with an idea I will post it later.
Happy Sunday to All
I got a 5 off 30. Love it when I get these.
ReplyDeleteJanet -
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for pointing out the CVS deal on the Finish in last week's Wags post. Wags had really burned me out on couponing at the end of the year (with all the coupon hassles, beeping computers, etc.) and I needed to take a break for a few weeks.
Getting back in, I've decided to keep shopping CVS and the grocery stores. I don't usually have problems with either of those. It was so great to get the heads up that I didn't have to go back to Wags to get a great deal on dishwashing soap! I had a great first trip back today and have renewed my couponing enthusiasm! :-) Thanks so much!
And, as always, thank you to Jeri for this wonderful blog!!
It looks like you can do the Pepsi deal twice (two different event codes.) I did it once, received a $10 ecb, and it says that I need $19.95 more to reach my limit.
The cheapest Maalox at my store was $6.29, but it still makes for about a $5 MM wyb 4. $25 value, use $20 in qs, get $10 ecb.
went to CVS for the first time today since I don't have one that close to me. WOW! What a difference. They were actually excited for me to use my Q's and earn ECB's. One guy even went in the back for about 15 minutes and appeared with 3 cases of Finish and came to me first to see how many I needed. I hope they build one near me soon!!
ReplyDeleteHi All - It sounds like most people had a great day at CVS.
ReplyDeleteJanet - Great idea to ask the manager to order product for you.
Kelly in West County - I haven't been shopping much at Walgreens either. CVS is so much better expierence. Thanks, for the confirmation on the Pepsi deal.
Anne - I've heard CVS is planning on many more stores in the area. More stores can't come quick enough for the couponsers :)
The South County CVs only had 1 Maalox left in the whole store and I didnt feel like messing with a raincheck so I got 1 Maalox and 2 Gas-X for $1.87 after coupons and ECBs. Not bad but not the great moneymaker that everyone else is getting. Also got 3 Dew, 2 Frapps, a Dove bar and the mini Reeses. Paid way too much OOP but at least I have $22 ECBs left. Its frustrating when stores dont bother to keep the shelves stocked for something they know is going to be in demand for the week.
ReplyDeleteHi CJ - I understand your frustration, but at least CVS's rainchecks included ECBs.
ReplyDeleteI think the stock issue is higher up the food chain than the store manager. Someone somewhere needs to coordinate inventory, not only with sales but with coupons too. Marketing managers at the manufacturers know long in advance when good coupons are going to be issued.
Jeri - I dont know who to blame. But customers shouldnt have to get rainchecks or beg the employees to check for more items in the stockroom. The shelves should be kept full for the store to be a success. There's something wrong when shelves are bare on Monday morning and stay that way for the rest of the week or even longer.
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteJeri & CJ,
When I talked to the manager at CVS she explained to me the ordering process. I was kinda suprised she told me what she did but I think it was to help her store mostly and to keep customers happy. They get "Ordering Ads" I will call them, 8 weeks before the sales start, in these ads it is stated what items do have coupons coming (the little black circles with "coupons in most papers"). I hope to soon be able to see those ads ;) only to help with what might be HOT. The thought of "8 weeks before the sales" left me starry eyed with possiblities.
Hi Janet - Interensting info, thanks!
ReplyDeleteAn on the ball manager should be able to solve some of the stock issues with that early info, but there was no clue about the coupons for Finish or Maalox in this week's CVS ad.
Managers would still need a crystal ball (or a Janet) to figure out what the merchandise will fly off the shelves.
When I was at CVS yesterday, I was told they are doing the same pepsi ad next week with another code-- I hope they are out of caffeine free diet pepsi soon-- I drink alot but don't think I NEED 24 twelve packs in my laundry room! :) but I will stock them at that price if they have them!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tonya!
ReplyDeleteI talked to a manager in the South County store and he said he had ordered 5 pallets of Pepsi and 100 boxes of Finish. But everything was gone by Tuesday afternoon when I went there. He said that they were as busy as Christmas on Sunday when the sales started.
ReplyDeleteHi Alice - Thanks for the info. It has to be very difficult for managers to predict just how much to order.
ReplyDeleteI know as a couponer trying to stockpile that sometimes I way over buy and wished I hadn't and other times wished I would have bought more.
