  1. Saw this on another blog

In the January 2011 Savings Book (that long skinny booklet usually found by the weekly ads) there is a $1/2 Walgreens coupon that can be stacked with the SS coupon to make the Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese $.17. You do not have to buy in multiples of two to use the Walgreens coupon. I always give manufacturer coupons first.

  2. Hi KC,

TYVM for the Kraft M&C info =)

  3. Hi KC - Thank You! I totally missed that coupons.

  4. The M&Ms deal is not with Register Rewards. There is a 1.00/2 store coupon in the Jan. booklet plus, the 1.00/2 printable coupon, making them 1.50/ea. wyb 2. Yay for not having to deal with RR!

  5. Hi Emily - Thanks! I made that same type of mistake a few week's ago. You would think I would look at them a little close.

  6. KC - The $1/2 Wags coupon will take off .50 for just buying 1 Kraft Mac&Cheese? I've always thought you had to buy 2 if it was a $X/2 coupon. So could I only buy 1 and pay .17?

  7. Now that I read KC's comment again I realize she meant you could buy 3 and get $1.50 off. But you do have to by at least 2 to use the $1/2 Wags coupon. Still .67 is a good price for one.

  8. The $1/2 will take 50 cents off for each item you buy. If you buy 1 item, 50 cents off. If you buy 2, $1 off. Theoretically if you buy 100 items, $50 off. (LOL! We all know Walgreens has very limited quantities.)

My point is no matter how many you buy, 50 cents is deducted per item. However, a cashier or manager might limit how many you can buy.

If you only have one coupon or want to taste this before buying more, you can buy one using the SS coupon, the Walgreens coupon, and paying $.17.

  9. I think Walgreens will charge regular price if you only buy 2 of the Kraft Mac & Cheese.

  10. If the tag says "$2 each or 3/$5", then you would be charged $4 if you bought 2. If it says "3/$5", then you are charged $3.34. That is what I have found to be true. I will try it tomorrow and let you know.

  11. Hi All - I've always known that the in-ad coupon will deduct per item when they read #/$. And just rescently I learned from a cashier that the Monthly Coupon books do the same thing - in most cses.

I have Kraft Mac & Cheese on my lsit of things to check tomorrow too. I agree with KC until you see the tag or give #/$ a try, you really don't know how they will ring up at the register.

  12. I'll try to get just 1 Kraft Mac & Cheese tomorrow using the monthly coup and 1 manuf coup and see how it goes. Thanks for the tip!

  13. Just returned from my Walgreens. I bought three of the mac&cheeses because that gave me $0 out of pocket expenses with the rest of my order and the RRs I had. They rang up $1.67, $1.67, and $1.66. The January monthly coupon took off $1.50 for a final cost of 50 cents. There should be no problem buying any amount you want for 17 cents each. (If you buy in multiples of three, the third one is only $.16.)

  15. Thanks, KC! You sure are an ealry bird today. I keep putting off getting out the door, hoping it will warm up a degree or two.

Thanks a bunch Janet for promoting Coupon Traders.

  16. Y'all were right - I bought just 1 mac & cheese and the Wags coupon took .50 off. Thanks, what a great deal! Also got the Joint Juice, 2 storage bags, 2 Chunky soup, Soft Soap and Thermacare. Had to toss in a Snickers at the last minute because I miscounted my RRs but that made the cashier happy and she always does good with my coupons. Have $12.50 in RRs to roll into the appetite spray and Frappuccinos later in the week and will get 2 more mac & cheese with coupons I have coming.
