Welcome KSDK Frugal Friday Viewers

If you're here after watching KSDK's Frugal Friday, welcome.

It is possible to save a ton of money using coupons.  I feed a family of three (one is a teenage boy) plus the dog, purchase all of our personal  hygiene, cleaning and laundry supplies for about  $40 per week.   It isn't like we live on beans and rice, although I wouldn't be called a foodie by any means.  You can check how I turn what I've purchased into dinner each night at Menu Plan Monday

Poke around Coupon STL a bit, and make sure to ask questions.  I've got the most helpful and friendly readers ever.  If I don't have an answer for you, they will.

A couple of things you can do today to get you on your path to saving.
Follow Coupon STL by daily email update, Facebook or Twitter.

  3. It's about time you got noticed on the news. I like following your site so much better than the other big site in St. Louis because I'm tired of all her cutting in pasting instead of trying to find some deals of her own too. Anyone can just copy. Thank you for all your hard work.

  4. Yes, thank you!! (And I love how you help the little guys too - I can vouch for that!) It's so easy to find stuff on your site.

  5. I was soooo excited to see Jeris' website on KSDK. She is the greatest and does so much to help us couponers. Congrats Jeri and keep up the awesome job!

  6. YAYS!! That was FAB! I'm with Kim, much better than the 'cut and paster' chic, who rarely ever gives credit to where she gets her deals and stuff and info, shameful. You help us with our local stores so much! I always send my readers over here for the matchups (and other stuff too, lol), there's no way I could ever put them together as thorough as you do!

  7. Hi All - Thanks for the kind words!

I had no idea KSDK was going to feature my site this morning on Frugal Friday. I didn't even see it myself. I'm glad they put video online.

  13. I agree with Kim and Debbie. Your site is so much more useful then the other chick who is all over KPLR 11. I always refer people to your site for the best coupon match ups.

Congrats on your new found "fame."

  15. Hi All - Thanks for all of the kind comments.

I haven't had media attention becuase I haven't pursed them. I have too much of that Iowa attitude in me. "If you build it they will come"

Off topic - If you've never been to Dyersville to see The Field of Dreams, you should try to get there sometime. It's baseball heaven.

  16. Jeri - are you from Iowa? My DH is from Dubuque and we have visited the Field of Dreams - soo cool!

Congrats on your shout-out! You truly deserve it.

  19. Quick question, when you post your deals and I see an "RP" or "SS", what does that mean. I figured RR are "register rewards" but are those automatically applied or do I have to have some kind of rewards card? Also, how do I know if and when my Schnucks does double coupons? Thanks for all your work, can't wait to get started!

  20. Hi, Dave! In behalf of Ms. Jeri, welcome to CouponSTL. : )

RP==Redplum insert in the Sunday paper
SS==Smart Source insert in the Sunday paper

There's a coupon lingo on the right side of this page but it's kind of "off" as of now. Ms. Jeri, fix it please. : )

Unlike CVS, at Wags (short for Walgreens), no need for a card to get the RR (Register Rewards) here in St. Louis. Ms. Jeri, I think you need to repost your "Wags RR/Couponing Guide" or whatever it's called. : )

  21. And on Schnucks, Ms. Jeri has Schnucks coupon policy on every post for Schnucks deals. : )

  22. Welcome Dave - I'm glad you asked questions. As you can see my readers here are very helpful. Most of the time they will answer questions before I get a chance too. Thanks, coupon.girl!

If you're in the St Louis area Schnucks doubles to .40 coupon with a limit of 15 per transaction. If you are in another area check the first page of your ad. There coupon policy is at the bottom of the page.

  23. Hi coupon.girl - As you probably know, my oldest is my technical support here. I've been nagging him to find some time to get the sidebar issues fixed, but between class, girlfriend, studying, girlfriend, work, girlfriend, socail life.... Mom and her blog is low on the priority list.

But, good news. I talked to him last night and Minneapolis has 20 + inches of new snow and classes are canceled for today. I have some time scheduled for us to get some things fixed.

I've always felt like it Take a Village to raise a child. I'll tell him - now, readers are nagging too about getting my sidebar fixed :)
