  1. Jeri - I am pretty sure I purchased those Ritz Munchables yesterday and it worked just fine. There were Ritz Crackers, Ritz Munchables, and Something else (the mini cracker sandwiches) that were all priced at $1.88

I bought both crackers and the Munchables (butter flavor and SourCream/Onion Flavor) - my receipt just says the flavor - but I am 99% sure they will work. Now, to get the cashier to take the IP for more than 50% of price......

    ReplyDelete
  2. Thanks, Andrea!

I was hoping the Muchables worked, not only because of the coupon but I like them alot more than regular Ritz.

I haven't had any problem with cashier taking coupons over 50 of the sale price. I hope you won't either.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I tried it yesterday - bought 3 munchables, 1 reg. Ritz and 6 Bitz - no catlaina triggered. I went to customer service - they printed one out for me because the verbage in the ad reads "assorted varity". Computer however, was not set up that way.

  4. I'll be participating in $10 off Thurs for the first time in a long time! Pretty excited but I dont really have an exact plan. After the $10 discount, $5 SNS coupon, $10 beef rebate and coupons I hope to have under $5 total, even skipping the Heinz and Kraft promos. Should be fun!

    ReplyDelete
  5. CJ,

what $10 beef rebate are you talking about?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Just checking... Sounds like you can use an Entertainment Book coupon AND the $10 off $50 on Thursday, right?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Mary

    yes you can use both

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hi Mary - Yes, spend right at $50, the register will automatically reduce $10, hand the cahier the $5 off $10 coupon and you will already be at $35 before you use any other coupons.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Sadina - Its a beer rebate from Newcastle, get $10 back when you buy $15 of beef and/or chicken. I'm planning on buying 3 small packages of ground beef and cube steak.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Do you think with the Heniz promo that I can use the coupon on 6 bottles of the organic or simply versions? I was trying to read the coupon for details, didn't give much!

  11. Hi All,

Ohhhhhhhh this should be a good week =) hehehehehehehehehehe =)

    Gotta go ck dinner =)

  12. Would love to know what others are planning since I always miss the obvious...LOL I am dragging my daughter with me after gymnastic to do the Kraft cat tonight so we can get some Ritz & cheese :) Thanks Janet for the heads up on the Dierberg's coupon!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Totally forgot to mention - When I went yesterday, I had to wait FOREVER for the cats to print. I was messing with my wallet and waiting and the cashier was already almost done with the next person (he only had a few items) before my coupons printed.
I double-checked our pantry and it was the Munchables that I bought, they did trigger the $10cat. Maybe the Bitz don't

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hi Nora - Who knows? That is one of the vaugest coupons I've ever seen. I would think you could use it on the varieties you mentioned, since there are no restictions, but you probably should stop and talk to Customer Service before you shop.

Andrea - Thanks for double checking on the Munchables.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I found out last night that the Bits don't trigger the cats because of the weight, you have to buy the 12-16 oz boxes of Ritz. Also beware on cheeses, there are 9.2 oz bonus size bags that will not trigger cats either make sure all your shredded cheese bags are 8 oz ones. I had problems with both of these things last night. Good Luck All!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hi Jewels - Thanks for the heads up. Look like I had better start a "Field Notes" post for SNS.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hi Jeri,

Please note-I did buy the 20 oz more bonus size in the Four Cheese Blend and did receive the cat it is 9.6 oz. HTH =)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oops that should have been the 20% bonus size. =)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thanks for the heads up! I took my daughter & we did the 4 Ritz, 4 kool aid jammers & 2 Kraft shredded cheese $15.68 after coupons & got the $10 cat back :) Love weeks like this now I just need to get all my coupons together, but I really wish it wasn't Spring Break week & the kids were in school would make things so much easier!!

  20. Hi Rachelstl-WTG on your shopping trip. I am soooo glad I have Thursday off this week. I will stop in tomorrow and do more price cking. But I think I have 4 transactions ready and 3 more with just the Starkist Tuna. I have my items needed prepared and have been working them into the transactions also. =)

    ReplyDelete
  21. RachelStl, I am also super curious what everyone is planning, so I posted mine in the trader forum to kind of keep this area cleaner.
I had a friend buy the Ritz Bitz Cheese sandwiches today and she got the cat...it is a wierd and vague sale, wish they had put shelf tags on at least!

    ReplyDelete
  22. There is a a tear pad coupon for the Lay's (1/1), that I saw on a display doing a cracker/cheese run. Keep your eyes peeled. The Guiness rebates were all gone at my store. Ready for Thursday! Trish

    ReplyDelete
  23. There is a new $.50 Starkist tuna Q available. Try this link http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=UZLMUA2BVQ3CG.

There was a $1/1 Lay's Kettle or Rold Gold Q at Dierbergs recently. Not sure if it's the same one as Trish mentioned or not. =)

I've been pulling Qs and I broke down and ordered some cheese Qs after all. Now I just hope they come in time! Been making a list and am hoping to price check tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm thinking it will probably be a four trip day for me.

  24. Does anyone know if the Kraft Catalina deal stacks? If I buy 20 participating products, will I get two $10 Catalinas?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anonymous,

The tiny print in the ad states: "Limit one coupon per transaction." I assume that means it will not stack. :-( Wondering if anyone has tried it.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Darn. That would have been awesome to do 30 bags of cheese on thursday.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I bought the Ritz Bitz with Cheese and the cat printed... I'm pretty sure the add includes the Bitz in the wording also.

Does anyone know the price of the Heinz gravy? I just went and forgot to check that one.

I went to Dierbergs tonight to get ritz coupons and chicken. There were $1.50 off chicken WYB Philly cooking cream peelies on the chicken and they had $1.50 off 1 Cooking Cream blinkies also. Saved them for shop'n'save. I've only had 1 cashier tell me I can't use them together... guess which lane I'll be avoiding on Thursday.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would love to see some shopping plans as well. If you have yours posted elsewhere could you please post a link? I love reading all the comments and always get more great ideas!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I noticed when I was at SNS tonight that the Carving Board meats are also included at the 2/6 price. It would be really fantastic if those triggered the cats as well. If anyone tries it please share.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Good Morning to All,

Looks like we are all going to be busy bees this Thursday =)

Jennifer-pixie_bit started a scenario topic over in the CouponSTL Trader forum if you would like to check it out there. =)

Staci-I am keeping my fingers crossed for you on coupon arrival.

Guess I better get over to the Trader forum and post a couple of scenarios.

Keep up the good work ladies/gents =)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi All - I sure won't plan on stacking the Kraft Catalina. Sometimes Catalinas stack, but until someone tries it, you don't know - unless you want to be the "tester" and go through the hassle if it dosen't work.

Staci - Thanks for the new StarKist link

    ReplyDelete
  32. I am planning several transactions. Can I buy a $50 gift card and use a $5 off $50 coupon from the Entertainment book?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hi Judy-

Yes you can. HTH =) Happy Shopping =)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Can I use the $10 cat to roll another $10 cat?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hi Anonymous - Yes! I've never seen a Catalina deal at the grocery stores where you coulnd't roll them.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hi All,

    Just had to add:

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin' get those Cats o' goin' makes my cart over flowin' keeps my wallet growin'

Ok back to my regular scheduled program =)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Does anyone know if the Kraft Touch of Philly shredded cheese is also triggering the catalina? I priced those today and noticed that they were not included in the 2 for $4 price, but they are still only $2.08 and they are 8 oz. Just wondering if anyone has tried it!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi Anonymous,

pixie_bit reported that she bought the Kraft with Philly and did receive the Cat. HTH =)

    ReplyDelete
  39. So, did we find out if the Ritz Pretzel Rounds are triggering the cat?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hi SuperSavingSarah - Yes, some readers purchased Pretzel Rounds on Sunday and did get the Catalina.

    Thanks, Anonymous!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Just a heads up for those of you in Ofallon MO (st peters, st charles area) they will no longer be letting two transactions / trip through the line

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hi Dawn - Yes, SNS will not split orders or do back to back transactions.

I haven't had any problem when I take a transaction to the care and head back it for a second shopping trip.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hi Anonymous - I'm sorry I didn't answer your question earlier.

I've never had a problem with SNS accepting multiple printable coupons. I have 2 computers at home and my husband can print a few coupons at the office for me, so on a great deal I've used upt up to (6) like printables before.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Getting worried about how early I need to start shopping tomorrow it's going to be crazy since the weather is nice & the deals are awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  45. at the 24 hour stores when does the $10 ofF $50 start, does anyone know?

    ReplyDelete
  46. TwinMom- the sale runs from midnight to midnight, however, sometimes the catalina machines are 'rebooting' during that time and may not print what you are entitled to. You can still call catalina and they will fix it, but that doesn't help if you are planning to roll it that day.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hi All - Yes, I think everyone should shop as early as possible tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'll be in line in 4 hours :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I just got back from shopping at a 24 hour SNS. The 10 off 50 was deducted automatically no prob. However, my Kraft Catalina did NOT print. The so-called night manager could not do anything about my situation. He said to come back in the morning to get my Catalina. Let me just say I was not a happy camper. Like someone had mentioned in the comment above, I think the Catalina machine has glitches in the middle of the night.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm back from my midnight run. Paid $14 OOP on $54 worth. I didnt try for the Kraft catalina but I got a $2/2 catalina for buying Kahiki chicken nuggets, so the machine was printing at my store.

    ReplyDelete
  51. came back recently after doing two transactions for my mom as i really didn't need anything...no issues with the catalina for me..

    ReplyDelete
  52. i tried to buy 10 boxes of velveeta in one transaction hoping to get $8 worth of coupons, but only $4 printed out, so changing my shopping plans for the next 6 orders accordingly. so you can't double up on the catalinas for the velveeta mac & cheese... however, the $10 coupon printed out successfully for buying the 10 kraft products and also got a $3 coupon for buying 5 fruit roll ups. so came out with $17 in coupons. have 6 more shopping trips to go. plan on spending a total of $110 on $400 worth of groceries!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Good Morning to All,

    WTG you midnight shoppers!!

    Have a great day =)

    ReplyDelete
  54. I need more coffee before I start my trips hopefully what I want is still there!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I am getting ready to head out. Hopefully everything goes as planned. Have a great shopping day everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Just got back from 6 transactions. Talked quite a bit with the workers. They said Shop N Save is losing tons of money on the No Coupon Thursday, and the company is trying to gradually phase it out. That's why we're only seeing it about once a month now. Several of the department managers are urging double and triple coupons along with a more flexible internet coupon policy and just better weekly deals. It would make my Thursdays a lot less hectic if they did.
    -Casey

  57. Just back from SnS. I did not get the Kraft Catalina in my second order. Luckily they took care of it for me. I bought Parmesan cheese, Velvetta, American singles, and chunk sharp cheddar. They have been having this problem and said "something" has not been programmed in correctly. My guess is the "something" is the sharp cheddar chunk cheese. Anybody do an order with sharp cheddar and get the Catalina?

I also could not use the Internet coupon for free InnovAsian free sticky rice when you buy two other products. That was my fault as it is part of their policy.

Was happy to find one free cat food and 16 tuna packets.

    Happy Shopping to all!

    ReplyDelete
  58. The catalina didn't print in one of my transactions this morning, and it was the one with the sharp cheddar chunk. They went ahead and "forced" one to print for me.

  59. I don't know if I will have much luck today. I am trying at the last minute to get coupons together and there seems to be a few I can't find. Ugh. I know I didn't use them yet, so I don't know where they are. I was hoping to do 2 transactions, but maybe lucky to get one in.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Does anyone know if the Philadelphia cooking creme is included in the kraft deal?

    ReplyDelete
  61. I went to SNS at midnight last night and did 4 seperate transactions. This is what I got:
9 12 pack Cottonelle Ultra TP
    14 Kraft Shredded cheese
    6 Pillsbury Toaster Strudels

  62. Hi All - Thanks for the updates. It sounds like everyone is having a great day at SNS. I'm back after a couple trips to regroup. I ran into ArmyMomX2 at the store. It's so fund to talk to a Couponstlite.

Casey - I'm not surprised SNS is trying to phase out $10 off $50. I think we will be lucky to see one once a month or maybe less.

KC - You should have been able to use the Innoasian coupon for a free rice wyb 2 entrees. It isn't a coupon for a free product, but a coupon with a purchase requirement. It's not different than a B1G1.

Philly Cooking Cream buyer- It's not included in the Kraft Catalina offer.

  63. I'm with you Jeri need to regroup before I do this again....I got my main stuff done early (if you call 10 early) so I didn't run into the main things being out that I was after. I love days like these just wish the kraft cat stacked.

  64. Back after 4 trips and everything went great. The only thing I was disappointed in was the Heinz gravy was not included in the Heinz $3 coupon. Other than that I don't know where I am going to be putting it all. I have tons of cheese and I am freezing it all. My husband went with me for two trips and he just can't beleive it. He is like can we go again. Imagine the husband telling you to keep shopping. lol

  65. Goooooood Afternoon to All,

It does sound like everyone is having a good day =) I started at 7:45 and finished at 12:05. Seven(8) trips and three(3) with just Starkist Tuna.

All I can say right now is:

Thank you Very Much to Shop N Save for having the -$10/$50 and to Kraft for the great promo this week. I am one who hopes SNS does not do away with the $10/$50 even if it does die down to once a month. Saw notes posted today that my SNS was going to honor the new Aldis coupons out here in our area for -$5/$25. WooooHoooo =)

I am going to have some lunch and do my tallies. I hope some of you took pictures--I would love to see them over in the CouponSTL Trader forum =) I took pics so will post mine later =) BBL

  67. How busy has it been? I'm hoping to be at a SNS by 4:00 p.m. Is the South Lindbergh store out of stock on anything? Thanks!

  68. The Crestwood store was busy at 10 a.m., but I just drove by the South County one & it wasn't packed like it usually is

  69. Okay I think we should now give Janet a new title "TUNA QUEEN".

  70. I have to say I love the SNS No Coupon Thursday as well, but with home schooling and 4 kids (ages 7-5 months), it's quite an ordeal when they only do it once a month. I like it back in the good ol' days when they had it every week. I did my 6 transactions between 3:45am and 5:15am while the kids were asleep. I don't think they'd ever forgive me if I drug them to the store for that many transactions. I do plan on making one more trip for the day. I had to wait until the mail came. My coupons didn't arrive :( but hopefully they get here by Saturday. It looks like everyone is getting great deals!

  71. I am loving this week at SNS. I did 4 transactions and had $29.85 OOP for $200 worth of groceries (on sale, so probably more like $300 worth) plus a gallon of milk.
Just a couple notes. The Velveeta was regular price $4.58 at my store instead of the advertised $4.68. Also, Yoplait yogurt was $.46 instead of $.50. Sometimes those pennies make a difference if you are cutting it too close to $50.
Also, for the Kraft singles, the regular price for the 16 slice is $2.48, but the 24 slice (16 oz) is on sale for $2.50. I think they both might work for the Kraft cat, but why not get 8 more slices for $.02. I almost grabbed the cheaper ones until I noticed the bigger packs, so I thought I would mention it.

  72. I know its a little late but the mccormic grinders are 2 for $3 so with two of the $1 off coupns they get super cheap

  73. I happened to purchase a few ConAgra items and the catalina printed a advertisement for a future deal.... Get a $10 coupon when you buy $25.00 on participating products* from 3/20/11-3/26/11. (* see circular for details) it pictures a recipe made from Hunts... looks like another fun week next week at SNS !

  74. After posting this morning about being denied the use of the free InnovAsian rice coupon with the purchase of two main courses, I checked SnS's internet coupon policy and realized this was proper usage according to their policy. I went to the Manchester SnS to shop with my daughter. Even though my earlier trip was to the Lindbergh SnS, I took my receipt and coupon to CS. She quickly agreed I was right and handed me $2.91. She was glad to know it was not someone at her store who had made the mistake.

  75. Hi All,

    Just cking in real quick.

Anonymous--If I was you I would wait on the McCormick grinders/spices(insert develish smiley face here)til maybe next week =)

Lynda-Crackin' me up over here with that Tuna Queen--I ended up with a total of 190 pouches today. =)

Jewel-I will post some good pics later over in the CouponSTL Trader forum-will have more info on the ConAgra Deal =)

Ok I gotta get some work done and will be posting info later in the CouponSTL Trader forum =)

WTG KC on standing your ground and double cking. Educating the stores on their policy will make future shopping trips more pleasant. =)

  76. I am out of town for a funeral so I won't be able to go till saturday to get the kraft deal. can't beat the price on juice boxes (even without coupons). does anyone know if they were well stocked? (I usually go to s. county) Thanks everyone!!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hi All - I'm exhausted. I would imagine everyone else is too. Unless you're a newbie - I'm sure there are a few "coupon highs" out there today.

Casey - Wow! I bet the store is quiet at 3:45.

Thanks, Jewel for the heads up for next week's Hunt's Cat deal.

KC - I'm glad they fixed the problem with using the Innovasian coupon for free rice.

Janet - I know how tired I am. You must be twice as tired.

Liz - I'm sorry to hear about your lose. If South County isn't well stocked, you could venture into the City. The store on Gravois was well stocked on both .

    ReplyDelete
  78. Liz yes I was at South County at 5 & they had a ton of juice still.

  79. I had 3 great trips & now I'm thinking about going to get stuff to smoke & grill this weekend & maybe do the kraft cat one more time :)

Janet I can't wait to hear the deals for next week :)

  80. I talked with a management member today asking about the rumor of no more ten off fifty he said the president said they would still have them but not as often...he also said they recorded an episode for tlc's extreme couponers last week at the crestwood location....I thought it was just a one time thing but looks like it may be a series....was wondering if it was anyone here who reads couponstl.....or maybe the pros like Janet or Jeri?!?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  81. I did 5 transactions for the first time today. My out of pocket was around $60, but would have been $10 less if I didn't lose one of my Kraft cats between the customer service desk and my home. I hope someone in Ellisville was blessed with an extra $10 in groceries and it's not out blowing in the wind somewhere. Thanks for all you do.

  82. Hi All - Sounds like everyone had a great day at SNS. I wished $10/$50, Cats and good coupons aligned more often.

Anonymous - Wasn't me filming with TLC. Yes, I had heard TLC was in town a few weeks ago and filmed a shopper at Crestwood.

From what I've read, TLC is filming 12 half hour episodes for a Couponing series that will start in April. If the local shopper TLC filmed is a reader, they haven't revealed themselves. But, I did come down hard on the first show. I'm not sure it showed couponers in the best light. I hope the series doesn't make people look so crazy.
