  1. Just wanted to let folks know to look at the size of the Pert Plus when you pick it up. The larger size is the one on sale and with the Register Rewards. The smaller one is the same price, but with no RR. A very nice manager at the Lemay store helped me exchange mine so I'd get the reward after I accidentally picked up the smaller bottle.

  2. No Reach floss at the 3 stores I went to this morning. The 3rd store finally had the Expo markers. Got Pert, 2 markers, Revlon nail polish, and 3-in-1 oil all free after coupons, RRs and rebate plus $3 coupon profit.

Has anyone seen the $1 boxes of Shredded Wheat at Wags lately? I have some $1 coupons and none of my stores have the $1 boxes anymore.

  3. CJ - I don't think they carry the $1 boxes any more. I looked a few week back and some were on clearance. When I asked I was told they no longer carry them.

  4. Staci - Thanks, it figures they stop selling them as soon as I get coupons for them :(

  5. I would price match the expo dry erase markers at Wal-Mart. Just make sure to take the add and coupon book. I also keep the Walmart price match policy with me. At my wags I had to pay sales tax on the price prior to coupons (6x4=$24) so while they should have been free I ended up paying almost $2 in taxes. Since Walmart will prices match at 99 cents you will save on taxes.

Also, my wags did not have any in stock but they will let you buy and then they place the order and call when in. Process has worked smoothly at the one wags I use, but I would only do this at a very trusted store.

  6. Could anyone let me know if and what RR they got that did NOT have the "redeem only at Wags" listed on it? I'm only going to Wags this week if I can roll my RR over at SNS. TIA!!! EVE

  7. I got rainchecks for the expo markers at two different wags (b/c the first one put a limit of 3 on it for some reason and I wanted four) and at both stores they noted the price as $.99, so even if they don't get them in before the monthly q book ends you can still get them for free with the MQ!

  8. Hi Eve - I haven't shopped at Walgreens for a month or more, so I can't help you out on your question. I hope someone else can.

Hi Staci - Are the 6 packs of Expo markers something Walgreens normally stocks, or are they a product brought in only for Back to School. If there isn't a spot for them on their regular shelving, you might have to wait until next July or August to use your raincheck.

  9. Hi, I am new to this. Does Walgreens allow to use the register rewards on the current purchase or do you have to use them later? Also, how does the "money maker" work? Do they give you the money? So confused.

    Revlon Nail Enamel - $3.99
Get a $3 Register Reward (Revlon)
    $1/1 Revlon Nail Enamel - 8/14/11 SS
and use $2/1 Revlon Cosmetic Walgreens Coupon - 7/24/11 SS

  10. Jeri,
Both stores I have looked for the Expo at had them in the regular school/office supplies aisle, so I think it is something they normally stock. I got a raincheck too, so I am hoping!

  11. I had my first run in with a terrible Wags employee. I went to a new wags that I normally don't shop in. Had the B1G1 Stayfree MQ to use with the B1G1 sale.

She got mad when she saw my coupon and looked at the receipt instead of the coupon to figure out how much she was going to give me off...the Q clearly states $4.49. She typed in $3.49. I asked why she did that. She said I gave it to you for half price...I said that's not your policy. She got very indignant and said...Just what is our policy. I said please call a manager. She yelled...Oh I will call a manager! I can't give this to you for free.
I couldn't believe it. I didn't want it for free...just the value of the coupon! The manager came and I said...the coupon states $4.49...he rang it up and took care of me without saying much...just sorry about that. She then said to the mangager, as I walked out the door, I need to know just exactly how much am I supposed to make that coupon?!? Grrrrrr!

  12. Jeri - same experience as JB. The expo markers have a spot in the office supplies section. I mentioned my concern about them not getting more in and the manager said if they have a spot in a specific department they should get more in. I ended up finding them at another store, so I have already found what I need anyway! =)

  13. Hi Walgreens Newbie - Welcome to the world of couponing. There is a little bit of a learning curve to shop at Walgreens. Make sure you read through my $5 Scenarios each week and it will walk you through Walgreens shopping.

But here is how the Revlon Works.

    Purhase (1) Revlon Nail $3.99
    use (1) Manufacturer coupon (8/24/11 SS) - $1.00
    use (1) Walgreens coupon (7/24/11 SS) - $2.00
    pay $0.99 + tax
get a $3.00 Register Reward to use on another purchase at the store.

  14. Hi JB & Staci - Thanks for letting us know Walgreens stocks the Expo markers year round.

Karla C - Good for you for standing your ground and asking to speack to a manager.

  15. Hello! I love following the 5$ scenario each week!!! Only problem is... I cannot for the life of me find the Revlon cpn in the 8/24 SS. I have looked countless times-& I get 7 copies of the Sunday paper! Anyone have any advice??? Thanks so much!!! -Jen DeVeaux in Cincinnati,Ohio.

  16. Eve - All of the RRs I got in the past 3 weeks have had "only at Walgreens" on them. But since I've had no luck using any RR at SNS it's no loss for me.

The Kirkwood and Crestwood stores have a good supply of the Expo markers if anyone is still looking for them - look in the office supplies section.

Get a free 8x10 collage print at Walgreens.com thru Saturday 8/20 by using promo code PRINTONE.

  17. Hi Jen - You might not have gotten the $2 Walgrens Revlon coupon. Different parts of the country get very different coupons.

    Thanks, CJ!

  18. Thanks so very much, Jeri! I did get the Walgreens cpn/revlon, but not the manufacturer one. I am newer to couponing, & get really excited when I have a chance to buy(for free!) something for "me" that I usually can't afford in this economy! This website has saved my family in these trying times. God Bless you ALL!! Thanks Again!
