St Louis Post-Dispatch Coupon Preview - 9/25/11

Only two coupon inserts in this Sunday's St Louis Post-Dispatch  - SmartSource and Red Plum.

I stopped at stores in two different zip codes this morning looking for the CVS insert,  that some areas of the country are getting,  and didn't find it.  If you pick up a paper it's in, or if it's in your delivered paper, please leave a comment.

On the upside, there is a L'Oreal flyer (pictured above) in the paper with with $8 worth of L'Oreal product coupons. The coupon state, ".... at Walgreens", but they are manufacturer coupon.

Here are my favorite coupons.

SmartSource
  • $4/1 Schick Quattro for Women Refill
  • $3/1 Glade Sense & Spray Starter Kit
  • $2/1 Schick Slim Twin or Quattro Disposable Razor Pack
  • $2/1 TheraFlu Multi-Symptom Sever Cold
  • $1.50/1 Colgate Optic White Toothpaste (Target coupon)
  • $2/2 Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Products
  • $2/1 Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaners
  • $1/1 Welch's 100% Grape Juice Blend
  • $1/1 Indiana Popcorn
  • $1/1 Duncan Hines Whole Grain Muffin Mix
  • $1/1 Stoufers Family Size Entree
  • $1/1 Windex Multi Surface Product
  • $1/1 Complete Multi-Purpose Solution
  • $0.75/1 Softsoap Body Wash

Red Plum
  • $3/2 Pantene Products
  • $1/1 Perdue Simply Smart Chicken Product
  • $1/1 California Pizza

L'Oreal Flyer
  • $2/1 L'Oreal Paris Haircolor
  • $2/1 L'Oreal Paris Root Rescue Haircolor
  • $2/1 L'Oreal Paris Skin Care Products
  • $1/1 L'Oreal Paris Haircare Products
  • $1/1 L'Oreal Paris Cosmetic Products

Remember: You want multiple coupons to use when a product is at a rock bottom price. When it's a good coupon insert week, I purchase 4 or 5 papers and sometimes acquire more. At first, I thought it was crazy to spend money to save money. But I've always saved much more than my investment.

  1. Has anyone found that CVS insert? So irritated that the ad even mentions the extra coupon savings insert and it's nowhere to be found... Was it even in the P-D?

  2. @Rachel

Hi Rachel - I haven't heard of anyone getting the CVS insert in the P-D. I would imagine since they have so few stores in this area, St Louis wasn't on the distribution list.

  3. I got the CVS insert (I'm guessing it's the one you're referring to) in my "junk mail" today. :) It says CVS Pharmacy Extra Savings Book and has a wide variety of manufacturer's coupons in it. All of them expire 10/01/2011.

  4. @Courtney Woo Hoo! You are the lucky one. This is the first I've heard of these coupons in the St Louis area. Do you by chance live really close to a CVS store?

  5. Nope, I live next to the Botanical Garden. Don't know why I got so lucky! :)

  6. I also got the CVS insert on Monday, tucked in with the grocery store circulars. I live in far east South County. Nothing too exciting, I'm afraid...most are mfr coupons. I was thinking they'd be CVS coupons and stackable, but wishful thinking I guess!

  7. So the CVS coupons came in the mail, but not the newspaper? Interesting. I got a SS insert in the P-D delivered on Wednesday. I think it is the same one as what was in the 9/25 FREE Suburban Journal. I wonder if this is a fluke or something that will happen regularly.
