This week, I only shopped once. I was hoping to get to Dierbergs, but I was feeling lousy all week and it didn't happen. Good thing Dierbergs sales run through Monday.
If someone had told me a few years ago that I could purchase so little in a week, and still feed my family, I would have told them they were crazy. How things have changed with a stocked pantry and freezer.
Sunday's 1/22/11 Shopping:
- Walgreens: Cortaid & Paper Towel
- CVS: Kleenex
- Aldi: Dairy and produce
Weekly Totals

Year To Date Totals
Before sales & coupons: $440.85
Spent: $146.79
Saved: $294.06 for a 66% savings
Splurge Funds: $52.21
My Splurge fund is the amount of money I haven't spent out of grocery budget. I might spend it on groceries, or I might save it for a larger non-grocery purchase.
Do you keep an extra deep freeze? I was wondering how you do it.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have a medium sized chest freezer. I bought it a few years ago with my "Splurge Funds."
DeleteYou should post a photo of your stockpiles. Freezer and pantry. :)
ReplyDeleteI've thought about posting pics of my freezer & pantry, but I'm not sure I could get a good angle.
DeleteMy stockpile is really not that large. Extreme Couponing would thinks it was tiny.
I stick to buying thing I know we will use and a few other things to try.
