I have a question about walgreens coupon policy. Today I went in and purchased 2 men's speedsticks deodorant on sale 2/$5, I had a coupon for $1/2 and I used a $3.00 RR. I was told that I had to purchase another item since the coupon was $1/2. I thought the policy was 1 coupon per item and that a RR was considered a coupon. Therefore I had 2 items (the 2 deodorants) & 2 coupons but I was made to buy another filler to be able to use those 2 coupons. Is this right with policy? I am new to couponing and haven't quit gotten familiar with the policies of all the stores. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are correct with one coupon per item, but more and more often $1/2 coupons or B1G1 coupon are attaching to two 2 items, so the register reads it as two coupons.
DeleteWhen I have a coupon for multiple products, I will take a inexpensive filler item with me to the register and buy it only if needed for the register to accept my RR.
Thanks Jeri, I just called the store and talked to the manager and he told me that if it is the same product with a $/2 then they consider it 1 item. But then how does it work if you can us a wags coupon and a mfg on the same item? Do you still have to use a filler to be able to use both coupons? I think i will be taking fillers to the register from now on just to be safe! Lol
ReplyDeleteWalgreens store coupons are not counted in the items = coupon/RR count.
