DeleteCortaid cream is B1G1 this week. The .5 oz size shelf price is $3.99 but both rang up at $2.99, took $2.99 off for the free one and I had a $3 coupon so got both for free :) The $3 coupon was in the inserts in Jan.

I'm new to this. I have looked at the $5 scenarios and I'm curious about something. If there are quite a few things I need/want that are going to cost me OOP anyways could I purchase several of items that are free after RR$ and get multiple RR certificates from a single transaction to use on my later transactions of is the system set to only generate one RR per regiaster transaction. For example if I bought the Melatonin and Burts Bees Honey drops in one transaction would I still get both the $4 and the $1.99 RR or would I only get one for some reason?
ReplyDeleteHi Anon - Welcome to the wonderful world of Walgreens RRs! You can get as many RRs in a single transaction that you want as long as they are different offers. For example you could buy the Burts Bees and Melatonin together and get the RR for each of them. But if you tried to buy 2 of the Burts Bees together you would only get an RR for one of them. To get an RR for more than one of the same item you would have to do a separate transaction at the time or make another visit. And also if you would try to use an RR that you already have on another item of the same kind (such as buying another Burts Bees by using a Burts Bees RR) you wont get another RR for the item that you are buying because its the same item. Hope this helps, it's a little complicated at first but you'll get the hang up it!

DeleteSome Walgreens are better than others getting the new sale/RR signage up each week. They have a lot of tags to remove and put up each week and I don't think stores get an extra employee to do that task.
