When you're at Aldi, check to see if they have their Spiral Sliced Hams marked down. The store I shop has them $5 off.
I was able to pick up a 8.56 pound ham for $9.47 (makes it about $1.10 per pound.).
As with any marked down meat, check the use by date before you buy. The hams I saw had a use by date ranging from May 2 to the 20th. Plenty of time to use them before they expire.
Remember, you can freeze ham. I repackage a spiral sliced ham for the freezer in packages of slices, packages of the unsliced part to cut up for recipes, and the bone.
