  1. Just spent 1/2 hour on phone with CS for the balance program. Apparently from what I could find out.....some items will have a 1 time limit on how many times you can earn points and others will have multiple times. They were not sure how it would be posted in ad but you are suppose to be able to call and find out starting closer to the 16th. Sounds like a lot of extra work if not posted in ad.

    1. Hi nskcsf - Thanks for passing on the info your found out. It sounds clear as mud to me. I would think if there was a limit on the times you could earn Balance Rewards they would have to state that in the ad - like CVS does on their ECB's.

You really have to wonder if Walgreens has thought through this entire program.

    2. I know what you mean. I even asked that question comparing it to CVS. The response was we don't have access to that aspread sheet yet, but you can call back after the ad is out. I'm just not sure that they have this program really put together with any thought at all. Guess we'll have to wait and see!!!

  2. I don't know about everyone else, but I think I won't be taking advantage of these balance rewards deals for awhile until I really understand what the parameters are.

    1. I completely agree...I'll really miss seeing my cosmetics sales clerk. She was the BEST

    2. Personally I would not be purchasing the Balance Reward offer for awhile either, but I think I'm going to have to test a few deals.

It's awful hard to write about a stores deals if you haven't personally worked the deals.

  3. If you live in No.Co. go to the Wags @ Shackleford and Humes. It is the best. Billy, Sami, Dianna, Stephanie, Josh, Trish will help with any questions and if they don't know they will find out for you. Skip the manager(don't know his name) all he does is stand outside and text and smoke. I try not to be a shelve cleaner so I go to 4-5 Wags on Sunday. This is by far the best. Sunday morning they have everything marked, they know what the sales are, what the rewards are. The other stores..nightmare. Nothing marked. Too, when they ring me out they get so excited how low my total is. With the new card Billy said it is going to be hard at first but any questions or help they will do what they can to make it go smooth. So, if you live in Florissant I would go to that Walgreens until you know how the card works.

    1. Thanks for the recommendation on which Wags to shop in North County. It sure does help when shelves are marked with the sales.

  4. I thought the new Balance program included earning points for prescriptions but if I'm reading the terms & conditions right, prescriptions are excluded. I dont like that the points arent posted until 3-5 days after purchase, I'd rather see them posted immediately so I know it worked right. I wonder how much higher the prices are going to be for people who buy without using the new card - I think a lot of people are going to be caught unaware that they have to have the card to get the advertised price. It will be an adventure as Walgreens always is!
Here's the fine print for the program:
