Remember: You want multiple coupons to use when a product is at a rock bottom price. When it's a good coupon insert week, I purchase 4 or 5 papers and sometimes acquire more. At first, I thought it was crazy to spend money to save money. But I've always saved much more than my investment.

  2. Oh yes I am sad. I use to buy 5 every week. I don't do that anymore.

  3. Are they $2.50 everywhere? I haven't bought papers yet this weekend.

  4. My Sunday-only subscription price jumped last month by about $1.50 a month. Still cheaper than newsstand, but I keep seeing flyers in the paper for the old price! One of these days I'll get around to calling to complain.

  5. Hi All - My husband runs out on Saturday morning to get coffee and a Sunday paper for me. He didn't notice the price increase, or at least didn't tell me about it.

$2.50 does make me rethink how many papers I'm going to buy.

    1. I saw signs at both CVS and Schnucks saying the paper was going up to $2.50 today (and the daily went up from $1 to $1.50). However, my papers still rang up $2 at CVS.

    2. No wonder no one much read the Post-Dispatch.

  6. I've slowing been weaning off the coupons/papers. I mostly only get great deals on toiletries and paper products. We don't buy a lot of processed foods. I think I really will start reducing the amount I buy now. $2.50 for a paper???
