  2. Please confirm if this is true: Metro St. Louis Shop N Save stores are accepting the $10 off $50 coupon from Save-A-Lot's ad this week. They're calling it price-matching.

    :)

    1. I haven't hear that they are accepting Save-A-Lots coupon. It might be a store managers decision. It's worth asking at the store you shop.

    2. Hi coupon.girl and Jeri,

I stopped by the Alton SNS today and was told they are accepting the SAL ad but I did not stop at SAL to see about an ad. =)

    1. The Schnuck's I go to in the city doesn't carry Libby's, I checked last night. If someone finds them, I would love to know which store.

    2. Good Morning to All,

I had the Libby's on my list to checkout today and will report back.

Also heard Dollar General is having a 4 day sale with Libby's at $.45 ea. =)

      Hope that helps

  5. I found a couple of tear pad coupons in my Schnuck's last night that I thought might be of interest.

$1 when you buy ONE Reynolds Wrap foil product (35 sq ft or larger, excluding Wrapper foil sheets)

$0.50 when you buy ONE Reynolds Oven Bags product

Both of these are in a tear pad booklet called Reynold's Turkey Success found on a display of oven bags

    ----

$1 on a 3 Ghirardelli Baking Products found on a front shelf with Ghirardelli baking bars

    ----

$1 on store brand bacon when you purchase any TWO Hungry Jack Premium Hash Brown Potatoes found on a Hungry Jack display (the potatoes are 4/$5)

    ----

    Also...

Mt. Olive pickles had $0.55 hang tags

Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners are $2.79 (4 count) and there's a $1 printable coupon on their website

Sargento cheese sticks had a $0.55 pealie and are $4.26 (ouch!)

  10. Hi All,

    Thanks for the price checks!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I don't remember having any problems with coupons doubling even though they might say "do not double", but it's not like we all have a ton of experience since Schnucks normally only double to $0.40.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The pure via stevia sweetener will be free after doubled coupon! $1.99 at my schnucks then $1 off coupon. Also, do you think they will let you do multiple transactions? I know when they had the triple coupons I asked the service counter before I shopped and they said that was fine. I guess it depends on your store. I plan on asking before I shop on Thursday if not I have 4 schnucks within 5 miles of me. Or I will simply check out put my bags in my car and go back in haha

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hi - Thanks for the Stevia info. I'm sure it would be the store managers decision if they would let you so multiple transactions.

Since Schnucks doesn't issue a store loyalty card, I'm not sure how they could limit someone from shopping at multiple stores. I too have lots of Schnucks within 5 or so miles from home.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes I plan on asking before I shop then ill decide from there. Hopefully, they will let me do multiple transactions so I don't have to run around to 4 different schnucks. Or maybe the checking out then going back in thing will work. Also, the soft scrub gel is on sale for $2.99 and there is $1 off one making it $.99 each. Toll house ultimately refrigerated cookie dough is on sale 2/$5 and there is a $.75 off one package doubled making them $1 each. Also, Kleenex 10/10 using the $1/4 coupon makes them $.50 each. Greek yogurt veggie dip is on sale 2/$5 there is $1 off 1 coupon making them $.50 each! I sort of went to schnucks today and scoped everything out. Forgot to look at a few things but does anyone know how much the Quaker medleys are that ended up being free with the triple coupon sale? I would like to score some more for cheap since there was just a new coupon

      Delete
    2. Hi Anonymous,

The Quaker Medleys are still running $1.50. =)

  14. Hormel regular price is $2.29 5oz, $4.49 7oz reg price. I'm not sure if it's on sale this week. I'm planning on going in the morning to get some prices on things. I went Sunday to get an idea and even reg price had some good deals.

  19. JUST WANTED TO POSE A QUESTION AND THOUGHT. SCHNUCKS HAS POSTED A LIMIT OF DOUBLING UP TO 15-$1 COUPONS/FAMILY/DAY..AND THIS IS A ONE DAY SALE. SO....GOING TO MULTIPLE SCHNUCKS STORES VIOLATES THE ONE PER FAMILY POSTING.
IF WE ARE ALL GOOD STEWARDS OF COUPONING, AND REALLY WANT SCHNUCKS TO CONTINUE TO OFFER US SUCH GREAT DEALS ON COUPONS AND PRODUCTS, HOW DO WE JUSTIFY GOING TO MULTIPLE SCHNUCKS STORES AND TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE SCHNUCKS STORES?

JUST SAYIN' FOR "FOOD FOR THOUGHT".

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I've been thinking the same thing. It seems pretty clear that they only want you to do one transaction with super doubles. I appreciate this offer and it really helps us out on a very tight budget, but I don't feel right about doing multiple transactions when it is stated so clearly... especially if you're talking about at the same store. I can't decide what I think about going to more than one store.

      Delete
    2. Teresa and all fellow couponers!
I phoned the corporate office of Schnucks this morning and spoke with the customer service rep Gil who told me that it is fine to honor the store with multiple transactions. He requests that hoarding doesn't happen with items, and that if there is a line of people behind you, to NOT hold up the line..but rather go in and out of the store multiple times.
So,it looks like it will be another great day at Schnucks!!
On a side note, it sure would be nice for us all to take the time to call and thank Schnucks for the past two coupon opportunities!!

      Delete
    3. Thank you so much for finding that out! I'm super excited now! I have been planning my trips all day at work! Good luck to everyone!

      Delete
    4. Thanks, Anonymous not only for calling Schnucks but letting us know what Gil said.

  20. Thank you everyone that has priced checked! I don't know what I would do without you. I have been working all week and have to get in my trips as it is before and after work on Thurs!

Per the "food for thought"....you are a separate customer at each store. The limit is per store. The reason stores have these sales is to boost their numbers right before the holidays...You can bet they all would love to have you as a customer that participates and follows the rules per store. The more people that come in, the more product that is sold, the more successfull their sale!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree. The more popular the promotion is, the more likely they are to do it again. If it doesn't get a good response, they will move on to other ideas to boost business.

      Delete
    2. They DO NOT want a bunch of couponers coming in and clearing the shelves. They can't ad "fine print" for everything. If people take advantage of the double coupons then you bet they wont do it again. If stores really wanted business that bad then Dierbergs and Shop N Save would also be participating.

      Delete
    3. HahahaHahaha! If they didn't want a bunch of couponers coming out to their stores, buying a bunch of their product, then they would not be haveing Super double coupon day after just haveing the super triple sale 2 weeks ago! lol, don't you hear the humor in what your saying?

Hahaha....don't have a chip on your shoulder because people that coupon are excited about a super double coupon sale!

      Delete
    4. Exactly! It's not really possible to clear the shelves anyways since its a limit of 3 of the same items then a 15 coupon max!

  21. If anyone has downloaded the Schnucks app, you can price check on it. Go to search and type in the item and the price for your store and the aisle number comes up. The aisle number sure will help as they just recently moved everything around in my store.

Kathi - I didn't know about the Schnucks app. I'll have to wait until my teen gets home from school do put it on my phone. What am I going to do when he leaves for college next year. I'll have to learn to do some things myself. :)

Food for Thought - Thanks for your comments. Although, next time please don't use Caps. I never read comments on other blog/forums that are shouting at me.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I am sorry about the caps and didn't intend it to be a shout out...it was late when I posted and I was too tired to erase and retype once I recognized that I had typed it all in caps. I didn't intend to offend anyone. :)

$1 Schnucks coconut on sale for $1.79

The $1 coupons did not double automatically. Some cashiers might override that, but I would not count on it.

    1. Hi KC - Glade to hear it went well at Shcnucks. Thanks for the heads up on the $1 coupon not doubling automatically and the coupons in Schnucks Cooks.

Did the cashier have to manually double all the $1 coupons, or was it just some of them?

    2. Good Morning to All,

Thanks a million KC for checking in and letting us know how your trips went.

  30. My store wouldn't do multiple transactions. The cashier said that they are really going to monitor people going in and out. What a bummer!!!!

    1. Thanks for the heads up. Once again, it looks like individual stores and Corporate are not on the same page.

    2. Which store told you that if you don't mind me asking??

    3. Yep...I asked about multiplies at mine and was told no. They were nice about it. I plan to head to a few other stores today....I think I got the things that might've run out on my first run anyhow. Eve

    4. Me sad! I can only walk to one store. :( Oh well, I guess one trip is better than none at all. Still sad though. I have 39 coupons that I was hoping I can have doubled and they're for items that we use.

    5. I did 3 transactions back to back this morning with no problem at all. Even said that I'd be back after work and they said."See ya then"

    1. The store over on 94 and Jungerman lets you go in and out, just no back-to-back transactions. Did 3 transactions there and only got one coupon scrutinizer who struggled with my coupons, lost one, and wouldn't double another.

  32. I went this morning at 5. My Schnucks (cashier and manager bagging) allowed me to have (2) transactions. Best of all, they made sure that each of my coupons were correct (items matched coupon, etc) and made sure that each of them doubled! Plus, they let me use the $3 catalina from the cereal towards my second transaction. Very successful morning!!! Thanks for all your hard work!!! - CO

  33. That is great PR!! Which store allowed your 2 transactions?

  34. I went to the Dorsett Schnucks this morning before work and they were in stock of everything that I was looking for. Unfortunately the system wouldn't double 5 of my 15 coupons and they had to be entered manually. The store manager said that they have contacted corporate on this issue and they are working to resolve it. I'm going back again after work if time allows. Please bring your patience and thank the tired cashiers today because we will wear them out!!! Good luck everyone!

  37. I had a very smooth transaction before work this morning too! The coupons all doubled correctly (even the $1 ones), the cashier was very friendly, and my catalinas printed! The only bad part was that I didn't have time to do another transaction before work. Good thing there are three Schnucks on my way home! :)

  39. I went to the High Ridge Schnucks today, they were so awesome!
I was allowed to do multiple transactions, I ended up doing 3 transactions total, and saved a ton of money. I chose to take my groceries out to my car after each shopping trip because it was so crazy, but they would have allowed me to do them separately. I will be posting a huge thank you to Schnucks on their Facebook page! My cashiers were great, they went through my coupons and made sure all my $1.00's scanned first.
What is really is awesome is on one of my orders I had 20 or so coupons, my first 15 coupons that were over $0.50 doubled and the rest of my other ones under $0.40 doubled as well. I even stopped the cashier to make sure it was correct since I didn't want anyone to get in trouble, and they said absolutely!! I am really starting to like shopping at Schnucks again!

Thank you everyone for all the deals that were posted and all the work you guys did! I love this site! Great day!

  44. I went to the schnucks on highway k that is open 24 hours at midnight last night. The manager was fine with going in and out. I made 4 transactions last night and also found some awesome deals while at the store.. Frozen mini meatballs were .50 a bag after coupon not sure what brand. Slk protein and fruit was .49 after coupon and the jello 2 pack with toppings were .18 after coupon! I had a blast then got home and set my alarm for 630 to go to the K and N schnucks! Made 4 transactions there in and out. Got pretty much everything I wanted and then some. I never did find the baileys blinky thing kind of bummed about that. I have to say I am beyond exhausted!! I spent 95 total and got $306 worth of groceries!! I am happy!! Huge thanks to schnucks for doing this especially before thanksgiving! I can only imagine how many people this might help. Not just our families but since we have a so called talent haha we can donate lots of goodies to help others! Also thanks to everyone who has helped this week!! Hope everyone had fun!!

  45. Hi All - It sounds like everyone had a great day shopping at Schnucks. I know I did.

The stores were well stocked, employees knew what to do when a coupon didn't double, and all employees welcomed the use of coupons. A festive atmosphere at the store I was at.

I've never seen so many people using coupons as I did yesterday - although not many people that use coupons on a regular basis. You know them when you see them - coupon holder, binder or a list buying only best deals.

So, welcome new couponers. We might not have deals like this every week, but you can save a ton of money using coupons.

  46. Be still my heart?! Double up to a dollar!

When I was in college in Texas we would coupon. There the stores have triple coupons etc and percent savings on the receipt. Bunch of 20 yr olds bragging about how cheap they got their mac'n'cheese :) Brings me back.

I only had time to go once yesterday but it was great. Also, are they tearing up all Schnucks in the area or just mine? I spent so much time wandering around trying to find things. I asked someone stocking the shelves, "Do you know where things are?" He said no and laughed. I hate relearning a store....

    1. Hi Marcell - Double Coupons sure brought some excitement to couponing in St Louis. It hadn't been the greatest lately.

The Schnucks I shop hasn't done any remodeling. I would be lost if they did. I'm still not used to the SNS changes, and they redid their store 6 months ago.

I hear Schnucks has a iphone app that tells you where products are located. You might want to check it out.

    2. Hey Marcella, be on the look out for AWESOME clearance...they just finished remodeling two of the stores I go to, I was able to pick up a lot of clearance stuff real cheap, especially when I added a coupon to the mix.

  47. I didn't know about the coupon day until 4pm that day.... still managed to make 5 trips that night before midnight (went to different stores). Got $344 for $77, but so many of my best deals/free items were cleared out. :( Wish I had seen it earlier.... I would have been out all night! The checkers seemed surprised at how popular the promotion was. Hope corporate allows another day like this soon. Had a blast and saved a bunch!
