Walgreens $5 Shopping Scenario - Black Friday Weekend

The most cost effective way to shop at Walgreens is to roll Register Rewards - spend Register Rewards on products that trigger more. If you budget $5 per week, you will save a ton of money.

Check out at the Cosmetic Counter. Multiple transaction always go smoother at a less busy register. Please be polite and only do a couple transactions at a time and step to the back of the line.  This give you time to regroup and it makes the cashier and customers behind you from getting upset

Check out all of this week's Walgreens Deals.

NOTE: Word is, some store are now limiting the number of sale items you can purchase and the number of transactions allowed.  Check with the staff at your store before you shop.

  1. I have not shopped Walgreens since they began the new program. Do I have to have a rewards card to receive the register rewards now?

    1. Hi Tonya - I haven't shopped at Walgreens much lately either. You will need a card to get the sale price. You can sign up at the store. The cashier will enter your info - it only takes a minute or so.

    2. I have not been shopping at Wags much either, I made today an exception, and feel pretty good about my shopping trip. My problem lately is that the receipts aren't showing your BR points anymore. I have been to 2 dfferent stores in the lasr 2 days. Manager couldn't even tell me what my balance was. Today spent $60 for $410 total of products. Including some presents.

    3. My receipt last night showed all my Balance Rewards details - how many earned for that transaction, new balance and number needed for the next level.

    4. Since my original post I am very discouraged by the BR system!!! I have spent over 1/2 an hour with CS for BR and the only answer I got was...I returned items from 2 transactions which I recieved 10,000 pts total from. My problem??? I have the receipts that show I did not get the points, I even questioned a manager about it before I left the store and I was told I did not recieve them because my total was not $35 after cpns. I am now finally postive points again, had I know that I was negative I never would had done the transactions I did this past weekend. Quite honestly I am consdering returning all but what I REALLY need. Which will leave me negative pts again, so then I guess I'll transfer my meds to CVS where I find myself shopping more and more. I have had fun there this weekend.

    5. Why do Walgreens have to make everything so difficult? You're not the first person I've heard from that DONE with Walgreens.
