  1. Thanks, this is so helpful! I also noticed that Sargento cheese snacks are regular price $4.xx), so I will not be using the recent 45 cent coupon. Also, just FYI my coupon beeped when I bought the Chi-chi burrito tortillas, but the cashier double checked the coupon and the product and overrode it (still not sure why it beeped).

    1. Thanks for the heads up on the Chi-Chi's coupon. Sometimes I think coupons get coded incorrectly.

    2. Went to Dierbergs this morning. They are also doing the triples this week again.

The Sargento string cheese is on sale for $3.50, so $2.15. Good price!

  2. Goldfish bread was $2.99 and Kleenex was $1.67 at my Schnucks :( The Hungry Jack Hash Browns freebies were a nice surprise. I'll go back today for the Band Aids and Puffs (.99-.25/3=.74 each).

    1. Hi CJ - My Schnucks had the smaller boxes of Kleenex (70 ct) for $1.29. Maybe not all stores carry that size.

Thanks for the update on Goldfish bread at your store.

    2. Hi CJ,

I am going to stop in Schnucks this morning to double ck the Goldfish-I know I saw tags posted at 2 stores at $2.29. Double cked my receipt from last night and sure enough it shows the Goldfish at $2.99. Will let you guys know what I find out later. =)

Have a Great Day to All

    3. Hi Janet - Schnucks used to have the policy if something rang up different than the price advertised on the shelf you got the first one free and the adjusted the others to the shelf price, but I heard they no longer do this.

Could you ask when you go back if they no longer have that policy?

    4. My Schnucks is notorious for either not putting up sale tags, or leaving sale tags up for weeks after the sale expires. I wish they had price scanners in the aisle so we could verify prices before getting to the register.
With the coupon the Goldfish bread is only $1.49, great price but I have bread in the freezer so passed on it.

    5. Hi CJ,

I think this was the case at the stores I visited on Monday. I might have been to early. When I went back the tags were gone. =( But we do like the GF bread.

  3. I found tear pad coupons for $.50 off any two M&M's, Snickers, Twix, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers or Dove. The King Sized candy bars are on sale for $1.00, so $.25 each. I found them by the candy at the checkout lanes and they don't expire until 8/31/13.

    1. Please double check this coupon. The King size bars are not the correct size per the coupons. I am thinking the smaller size bars are running a $1 also. HTH

  16. I had a $.50/1 IP coupon for Carefree pantiliners which were $1.29 each. The coupon scanned and only doubled to $1.00. When I asked the cashier, she said they will only double since tripling would give me an overage. When I asked why she can't triple up to the value of the product, she told me she couldn't override that. Is that supposed to be the case? Thanks.

    1. At least with other Triple Coupon week, I've had coupons that tripled up to the value of the product.

I think I would have headed over to Customer Service to find out what was going on.

Has anyone else used this coupon, and what was your experience?

  19. I used a 30 cent off coupon for Yoplait Simplait and it tripled to the price of the product (88 cents). Next time, I would go over to the customer service desk after checking out and see if it can be fixed or voided.

I have a question, hope someone can help. I tried to use the recent 50 cents off Cream of Wheat coupon, and it beeped at the register, and the cashier told me I couldn't use it, it was only for instant Cream of Wheat because that's what was pictured. The coupon wording says "ANY cream of wheat", no mention of instant. Should the store go with picture or wording? This is not in the coupon policy, but it seems to me that the wording should hail over the picture, the manufacturer doesn't have room to picture every product and usually uses the picture to highlight a few products.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. To me "any" mean any. If it was intended to be used on Instant only, then it should have stated on the coupon. I think I would have asked to talk to a manager.

There could me many reason why a coupon beeps, in including the fact the coupon could be coded incorrectly.

I also think when a coupon doesn't work as what the word say, it is time to contact the manufacturer. With the sophisticated coding on coupon now, there is no reason they can't be coded to match what the words say.

      Delete
    2. I used the Cream of Wheat coupon today with no problem. I bought the 14 oz. box (not the instant packets). Could you have accidentally picked up the Cream of Rice like I did at first? The only coupon that didn't triple correctly was the Ortego .50/2 - it only doubled to .79 (the price of one), but the cashier corrected it when I pointed it out. All my other .50 coupons tripled to the value of the item even if the item was less than $1.50.

      Delete
    3. I have had no problem with the cashiers manually overriding the coupons when they don't work properly. In the rare instance a cashier won't (usually happens at Target), I just go over to customer service after I check out and it gets fixed there. If not, I return the product (shouldn't be a problem even for the most restrictive stores if you haven't left the store). Sometimes I think the coupons beep as a safety for the manufacturer--coupon beeps, so cashier checks to make sure you actually purchased the product. If that is in face the case, I think it mostly backfires, because it happens so often (to me anyway) that the cashiers automatically push the coupon through anyway.

    3. Darn, I had my coupons all organized and my list written out already! Oh well, I dont have much free time next week anyway. I'll be all ready for next time :)
Hasnt Schnucks been doing back to back triples then doubles? With all the great deals lately, all the weeks run into each other.

    1. The only store I saw them in was the Jungerman Schnucks in St. Charles....I also have been getting the 4 pk of the Double rolls that are $2.87 I believe at the cottleville Schnucks, -0.45 Q (1/6 paper, good on 4pk double or larger...not sure if was SS or RP) tripled to
-$1.35....for me, this was a decent enough deal that I did it multiple times. I have a hard time finding really good TP deals often enough that I don't have to go out and buy at reg price alot.

  23. Hmmmmm.....My paper did not contain a schnucks ad, which in past weeks was a sign of a super double sale....

Yes, in the past I think every 3X week was followed with a week where they did the super double.....I was really looking forward to it, but I can't complain, we are SOOOOO lucky that Schnucks keeps doing either sale. Finally, I can save on GROCERIES the way couponers in the South do with all the stores that double up to $1.00!!!

    1. I know! I used to rarely shop at Schnucks, but I've been going several times a week when they run the coupon deals. Their sales seem better than Dierberg's too. I had $25 to spend on food drive items (unused party money from my kids' school, kids opted to donate) and I was shocked at all the stuff on the food pantry list I got with it.

    2. I'm thinking the two weeks in a row in Nov. & Dec was because of the holidays.

Jessi - Where did you used to do most of your shopping?

How great of the kids to donate their unused party money and for you to spend it wisely.

  24. I am hoping maybe they are waiting until the next week because they want to be extra competitive when everyone is shopping for the Super Bowl.
