Five Question Friday - January 25
One of my goals for 2013 was to reveal more of who I am on my blog. If you just read my posts (and not comments) I'm sure you are feeling like - who is this person behind Coupon STL. So here goes.
1. What holiday do you wish did not exist?
Grandparents Day. Sorry Mom & Day, but you already have Mothers Day and Fathers Day, and then I'm suppose to remember Grandparents Day, too. I never think about it until it's too late for me to get a card in the mail for my kids. Then, I feel guilty because they are fantastic grandparents.
2. What is your favorite romance/love movie?
The Way We Were. I've Always loved that movie. No matter how many times I see it - I still cry.
3. Do you make a big production out of celebrating Valentine's Day?
My husband and I have never made a big deal out of Valentines Day. I think I killed the Valentine's sentiment when we were first married and I complained about the money hubby spent on flowers. Oops!
I didn't know at the time that my Mother-In-Law threw her Xmas gift (dishes) at my Father-In-Law one year because she didn't want something practical. Anything that remotely sounds like a complaint, makes hubby a little nervous.
4. What is something weird you did as a child? (or even now!)
This is hard to say. My kids would say there is lots of things I do that are weird.
5. What makes you love your husband, really LOVE him, you know since Valentines is coming up?
It sounds cliche, but my husband and I really are best friends. We have been best friends since we first met. The first few years we dated were a little on again off again, but we were always there for each other, and after almost 25 years of marriage it hasn't changed - not the on again off again part.
