  1. My walgreens had $1 mc tearpads for almay cosmetics last week and I got a $2 one from the cat machine awhile ago if anyone was bummed we didn't get those, look for them in your and coupon stash

  2. Went to a Walgreens today to buy the Chloraseptic Spray. But $2/1 Chloraseptic Spray Coupon in Walgreens February Coupon Book beeped. The cashier said it wasn't for the "Warming" kind, just the regular spray. Called the manager, the manager said no because I would have gotten it for only $0.99 and then she walked away.

Anyone got any luck in using the Walgreens coupon book?

    1. Yes, though mine beeped as well. The cashier started in on the 'it must only be for the boxed kind' and I nicely said 'please call a manager, because that's not the wording on the coupon'. He did, and she overrode it. Thought this kind of thing is exactly why I am a weekly patron of CVS and not Walgreens.

    2. Hi Alice - I didn't get to Wags yesterday, but am reading on Wild for Wags that shoppers are having mixed results with the Wags Chloraseptic coupon. Some stores are pushing it through and some not. With no restrictions on the coupon, you would think they should honor the coupon.

The way the manager acted at the store you shop is unacceptable. I don't know why some Walgreens employees think it's perfectly acceptable to be rude to customers.

I've got over 10 Walgreens within 4 or 5 miles of my house. There are some I'll never shop at again, and others that I've gotten to know the employees/managers and enjoy shopping at.

    3. Ishopped at 2 different stores yesterday. At the first store the manager saw that I was going to use the Wags cpn and told the employee he would have to push it through. At the second store they pushed it through and told me it was not working right because the product is new and not programed in their system for the cpn yet.My bottles all say new on them.If this is the case I hope they fix it so everyone can get the same results.

    4. Tried another store again and was again not successful. The coupon beeped and called a manager. Manager said coupon was for regular spray, not the "warming" kind. So, left the store without it again. Probably won't try anymore. I figure the stores that honor the coupon are probably out of stock by now.

  3. Yesterday I redeemed some of my Balance Rewards points for the first since the program started, and I didnt get the 100 points for buying 2 Nice bagged candies as shown in the ad. Does redeeming points knock out any points you were supposed to earn in that transaction? I didnt think that was supposed to happen but it seems to have.

    1. Hi CJ - Points are not earned when you use your points to purchase a product. Here is what the "very" fine print says in the Terms & Conditions.

" Points will not be earned in a transaction where Redemption Dollars or Store Credit is used"

    2. You can't use BR points to pay for a transaction that you would recieve BR points. You can use them with RR though.

    3. I'm glad it was only 100 points that I missed out on then. I wish they'd explain that "Redemption Dollars" are the same as Balance Rewards points. I havent been very pleased with the BR program :(

    4. CJ,

I understand how you feel about the Balance Rewards Point Program. I felt like that at first and did not buy much that gave points. Then I started experimenting. I have found advantages. Most important is they don't expire in two weeks like RRs. A few weeks ago I used 40,000 points to buy $50 worth of rebate items. Plus points can be used to pay taxes. (However, RRs reduce taxes in Missouri.)

  4. Call into 1-800-walgreens and voice your concern about the customer service. The stores receive marks against them when they fail to treat customers with respect..and no store wants that. They will have the manager of that store call you to work out a resolution. If not, call the #800 number again and restate your concerns.
