  1. Just odds and end for me - milk, Pure Leaf tea and salsiccia at Schnucks last night. Got 4 salsiccia links for .73. Going back for more tonight.

  2. Hi CJ - Odd and ends for me too. I find my shopping is very different now that we get Super Coupons every once in awhile.

    1. I feel the same way. It's nice to only need to buy milk, oj and sandwich meat. A little bit of fresh meat too. Does anyone know if Schnucks Chirzo(sp?) is part of the WOW deal?

    2. The coupon should work on any kind of Schnucks sausage. I had trouble once using it on the salsiccia links because the cashier didnt think it was sausage, had to get second opinions from 2 other employees.
Definition of sausage: "minced pork, beef, or other meats, often combined, together with various added ingredients and seasonings, usually stuffed into a prepared intestine or other casing and often made in links."

    3. OMG.....LOL.....I just looked at a package in the freezer and the label says SCHNUCKS SAUSAGE then salsiccia. How could someone say it wasn't sausage??? Curiousity got the best of me, did you actually have to read the def. of sausage?

    4. I didnt read the definition to her but did have to explain that sausage is a pork product that can be shaped into links after its ground. After that I looked it up to make sure I was right!

    5. I had my husband stop at Schnucks for me to pick up Salsiccia. I just assumed he would buy the links but came home with the loose sausage. I made patties out of them and put them on the grill. Wow! Much better than a hambburger. The heck with links after this I'll make patties.

    1. Hi Peggy - I think we will have Super Coupons again. If you feel like you don't want to spend the time clipping, just file whole inserts and clip when the deals are good.

I file my inserts, but will clip the printables and put them in a binder. Not that I take my binder with me shopping, but it's easier to see what I have when I'm getting my shopping list together.

  4. I am kind of relieved to just need a couple things this week! My husband is "complaining" about the stockpile...and if I come home with one more mustard I'm going to have to start hiding them under the bed! Have a relaxing week yall!! -Mindy

  5. When I first started (before I found this blog)....I did the binder. Now I do like Jeri said, keep all the inserts in chronological order and clip what I'm going to use. I do skim thru them first and clip anything that I know I'm going to use right away, you know, for items that we always buy, or if there is some rare FREE item Q or a rare high value Q. It saves me a TON of time. I tell people just starting though...to just do what ever organization works and is comfortable for you. I will say that there are some deals I miss because I don't have a binder with me and when I'm in the store there sometimes is a special priced item not in any match ups....but for me I don't mind the occasional miss, because It also saves me from going searching for deals. I'm happy with the deals found on the blogs. When I did the binder I didn't have a job, so that was ok, but now that I'm working again....too much time for me.

    1. Hi Jessonica - I started out with a binder also, but I think I had abandoned it in about two weeks. It wan't for me. I have a hard enough time keeping up with clipping printable.
