Saved 90% This Week

I was disappointed that Walgreens was discounting their EasySaver Rebate program - until I shopped this week. What an unbelievable week for Walgreens.

Walgreens

Before coupons & sales: $349.45
Total spent: $1.72
Total saved: $347.73 or 99.5%
And I still have $12 of Register Rewards to spend.

I stayed fairly close to my shopping plan. This picture does not include two additional glucose monitors, because I gave them away before I ever left Walgreens. Two different clerks were amazed at what a good deal this was, and each had a family member......

We are very lucky in St Louis that Walgreens is on every corner. Or at least it feels like they are. I checked MapQuest and I have 12 Walgreens within five miles of my home. I only shop at seven of them.

CVS

Before coupons & sales: $43.68
Total spent: .40
Total saved: $43.28 or 99% savings

I had ECB's expiring this week and went to CVS without a plan. I ended up spending more EBC's than I came home with. I guess it happens.

I only get to CVS a couple times a month because it's a 20 mile drive. I should look and see how many Walgreens are between my house and CVS.

Schnucks

Before coupons & sales: $47.89
Total spent: $13.41
Total saved: $34.48 or 72%

Dierbergs

Before coupons & sales: $59.83
Total spent: $25.80
Total savings: $34.03 or 57%

Aldi

Price at Schnucks: $17.95
Price at Aldi: $8.63
Total saved: $9.32 or 52%

Weekly Total
Before coupons & sales: $518.80
Total spent: $49.96
Total saved: $468.84 or 90%

  3. I agree, I usually spend way too much money at Walgreens. I don't think I'll be able to save that much ever again.

It was the week of the Perfect Storm.
