I just got this great tip from a reader, thanks anonymous.
The Schnucks' Twin Oaks store located at 141 & Big Bend will match Shop 'n Save's $10 off $50 Thursday. Cut out the $10 off $50 advertising from the Shop 'n Save's ad and take with you when shop at Schnucks Twin Oaks.
I called the Twin Oaks store this morning to confirm this information. Not that I didn't believe anonymous, but it sounded too good to be true. The Schnucks I shop at quit matching Shop 'n Save's deal when Shop 'n Save went to no coupon necessary.
I also called Schnucks on the Hill this morning. They do not match Shop 'n Save's $10 off $50 Thursdays.
Readers, please leave a comment. Does the Schnucks you shop at match Shop 'n Save's Thursday deal?
Overland Plaza Schuck's does not. However, I did ask about a SNS catalina coupon the other day, and I was told that as long as it says manufacturers coupon on the top, they will take it.
ReplyDeleteI'm the anonymous tipster - I've been wondering if others did it. Ours started when the new SNS opened across the street; I keep thinking it will end but not so far. You do have to bring the coupon into Schnucks though. Some weeks I hit both places and 'double dip' getting just to $50 at each one which is the best way to save. This week I'm doing the mini-wheats 4/$8 less 20% (1.60) less 4 $1 Qs = 2.40 OOP receive $2 catalina. I have 12 of the $1 Qs - does Schnucks have a limit of same type qs?
ReplyDeleteOverland Plaza Shopper - I never thought of using Catalinas issued at one store at another. Register Rewards say manufacturer coupon, did you ask about them?
ReplyDeleteTipster - I hope I didn't end your double dipping fun by posting this information. I'm not aware of Schnucks limiting like coupons, but I've never use quite that many at the same time.
Schnucks employee reader - Can you please chime in with the answers.
Overland Plaza Shopper here... I asked because I accidentally let some SNS catalinas expire once, and I don't ever want to let that happen again! I tried to ask the cashier to ask them about Walgreens, but she had already walked away from the register and I didn't have time to stop by CS. I will ask next time I am there, though.
ReplyDeleteI actually contacted Schnucks today and received a phone call within a couple of hours. Kind of took me by surprise. The gentleman I spoke with told me that the decision is not made at the store level, but that marketing decided to match at Twin Oaks BECAUSE SNS moved in "practically in our parking lot," as he put it. Doesn't sound like they'll be bringing it back at any other locations because it doesn't accomplish what they wish to accomplish with their marketing dollars, which is to attract and keep new customers every day of the week. So, looks like those readers who are close to Twin Oaks really have it great!
Overland Park Shopper - Thanks for all the great info. I'm debating whether to drive to Twin Oaks tomorrow or not. I really perfer to shop at Schnucks but can't pass up the $10/$50 at SNS.
