If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been a while:1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons.
An FYI for UC Aldi shoppers...
ReplyDeleteI was very disappointed to find that blueberries are $1.99 at my Aldi (Olive & North and South in U. City) today. I was looking forward to more blueberries, but decided to take a pass.

Staci - Oh my! We don't need another chain in town where prices are different at different locations. I'm sorry if you made a trip to Alid just for blueberries.
ReplyDeleteI shop and price check at the Aldi in the city on Gravois just south/west of Holly Hills.
Jeri - No worries, blueberries was just one thing on the list. Seems like most of the prices are consistent...

The price of strawberries seems to go up and down a lot at Aldi, more so than other grocery stores. I never seem go there when they are only .99.
ReplyDeleteCJ - I talked to the employees at the Aldi I shop at trying to figure out their pricing.
ReplyDeleteProduce prices are changed on Sunday. They always have a few products at a really good price. Dairy prices are changed as the market dictates. Then they have their ad specials and those prices go into affect on Thursdays.
