CVS Deals - Week of 11/22/09

Prices good November 22 - 29, 2009

I've heard, there are eight CVS's opening on the Missouri side of the St Louis Metro Area in January. The one I drive buy looks finished - except for the dumpster in the parking lot. The signage is up (and covered), lights are on, but the shelves are bare.

Here are the approximate locations of the two new CVS's I know of. If you know the location of any of the other six, please let everyone know and leave a comment.

South City - Gravois and Hampton
South County - Lindbergh and Lemay Ferry
Olivette - Olive just west of I-170 (Thank, kas!)
West County - Manchester & Clarkson Road (Thanks, Jenny!)

I'm teaming up with Cindy, from Living Rich with Coupons to post her best CVS deals of the week.

  1. The Olivette CVS is one light west of I-170 on Olive. It's is the north side of the road. I have been told that the other store opening in January is out on Manchester, somewhere around Hwy. 141.

CVS has plans for additional stores, except only four will open in January.

  2. The one on Manchester is at Manchester and Clarkson road, across from the Kmart there.

  3. I bet there will be one going in at Manchester and 141 by the new Walmart and Costco. That would be nice because so far there isn't any too close to me.

  4. OOOhhhh I can't wait for CVS to get here. I'm already dreading Walgreens b/c of some of the cashiers. I already signed up for a card online b/c I will be using it when I go out of town on vacation :) Does anyone know of a CVS opening near Clayton??

  5. IMHO, the city council of Clayton isn't too friendly to small businesses. Before the economy went south, the city was ready to close establish businesses for some development. Of the nearby Wags, one is south of I-64 on Brentwood (Brentwood), while the other store is at Clayton Rd. and Big Bend (U-City). The U-City Wags is a hassle to get in and out of, especially with traffic.

Best bet is to jump on the Interbelt (I-170) and drive up to Olive. There is even a decent Wags on the other side of Olive, just a couple blocks west of CVS.

  7. kas & Jenny - Thanks for the locations.

There is a Walgreens across the street from where the new CVS is in South City. I dont' shop there often (I pass 5 or 6 Walgreens to get there) but the few times I've been there they have been very coupon friendly. I wonder if the construction across the street has had any influence on their cutomer service skills, or if they have always been that way?
