$10 off $50 purchase - Thursday 12/3/09 .
I'm totally underwhelmed with this week's ad. There are a few good deals, but I'm not sure I can cobble them togeather to reach $5o for the additional Thursday savings. I might skip Shop 'n Save this week for better deals elsewhere.
I only highlight the best deals. Take a look at Shop 'n Save's full ads here.

The last time this product was on sale, there was quite a little discussion in the comment section of Shop 'n Saves 11/9/09 Deals. The conclusion was, this isn't very good ham, but if you have the butcher slice it very thin, it make OK lunch meat.

How is that "pattie mix" - is that OK for hamburger helper etc? also the individually frozen 3 lb bag of chicken breasts is a good deal at $5 - even better at $4 on Thursday.
ReplyDeleteThe pattie mix is already seasoned and I only putchased it once. Given recent news about tainted ground beef and chickens, handle product carefully, clean up afterward with a bleach/water solution and cook to the proper temperatures. On one hand, Cargill wasn't testing 3rd party beef by-products, while Perdue received high marks for safe chickens products.
ReplyDeleteI skimmed right over the bagged chicken breast. That is a good deal. I'll add it to my post. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried the "pattie mix" and am a little suspect. Kas, am I reading between the lines correctly that you wouldn't buy it again?
Has anyone else bought the pattie mix and what is your opionion!
Jeri, like those hockey puck burgers. buy the roll only if one really needs to save money. Beside the weird seasoning flavor, I believe it's is also cut with soy meal. Plus, if the roll is frozen, breaking it up can be challenge.
ReplyDeleteI'm in agreement this weeks sales are a joke, which is almost traditional after a Holiday.
Thanks, kas! You're input is alway appreciated.
