Trade Your Register Rewards for Shop 'n Save Coupons

Walgreens has a $10 off the Entertainment Book coupon in this weeks ad (good through 11/7). You can pick up an Entertainment Book with this coupon for $25.

The St Louis edition of the Entertainment Book has (6) $5 off $50 Shop 'n Save coupons. Good through 11/1/2010!

Since I had an abundance of Register Rewards from the money-making deals in October, and there will be another money-making deal at Walgreens next week, I traded my Register Rewards for Shop 'n Save coupon.

My purchase
Entertainment Book $35 - $10 in-ad coupon = $25
(2) candy bars @ .49 each with in -ad coupon = .98
Halloween pencil (75% clearance) = .06
used (4) Register Rewards - $26
= $0.04 out of pocket

Remember: Register Rewards are manufacture coupons and at Walgreens, you have to purchase at least one item per manufacturer coupon you use.

Halloween merchandise is 75% off this week, so you will be able to find some cheap fillers that will allow you to use multiple Register Rewards.

  1. Didn't the Shop 'n Save coupons expire on 11/1? I thought I read that in a previous post.

  2. I'm sorry. I didn't make this very clear. The 2010 books are now on sale and the SNS coupons are good through 11/1/2010.

  3. At Wags yesterday I picked up 2 bottles of Arm&Hammer and their 2-in-1 dryer sheets for $4.99. The detergent is B1G1 ($6.99) and they have a peelie on top for free dryer sheets as a rebate. I had a $1/2 coupon for the detergent and a $1 coupon for the dryer sheets, so this worked out to be not a bad deal.

  4. Each book comes out in the fall of the previous year. The offers in the 2009 book end yesterday, while the 2010 book that Jeri referred to, will be good through 11/1/10.

The real bite is the price increased $5 over last year cost. If one waits until spring, the price of various books will be cut in half by the entertainment. Buy ASAP, since the books go fast.

  5. Anyone know the price of the Entertainment book at SNS? Seems like last year it was cheaper at SNS than at Walgreens.

  6. SnS sold 2009 books last year for $25 each, which was a $5 discount. Given things were alot different with Wags, I can't recall anyone finding a good deal at that chain. Now non-profit agencies and such use to pay $20 for each book. One of the brothers was buying books for that price and helping my sister save on the cost of Christmas gifts. Probably now the cost for these sellers is $25 on the 2010 book.

  8. Courtmey - Wow! That is a great deal on the Arm & Hammer.

Entertainment Books - I love the extra $5 off at SNS, but I don't like to pay for the Entertainment Books. I was very happy to trade my RR for them.

  9. Although 2009 entertainment books expired on Nov 1, there were some coupons in the I section of the 2009 books that do not expire until Dec 31 2009. I tore out the ones I wanted and then threw out (recycled) the book.

  10. Tracy - Thanks, I didn't even look at the expiration dates. I'm going to have to go dig mine out of the recycling bin.

  12. I got a $8RR tonight for buying 3 Lubriderm lotions. Gonna use it tomorrow along with the $10 in ad coupon to get $18 (or more if I can use some more RRs on fillers) off an Entertainment book. The Lubriderm deal is a MM. See details at http://www.commonsensewithmoney.com/2009/11/walgreens-lubriderm-moneymaker-deal-2/. Even if your store doesn't have the diabetes booklet coupons, it's still a $2.22 MM.

  13. Anyone know of a store with the Diabetes booklet? I did the Almay deal--Foundation 9.99, lipgloss 7.99 -$4 (50%when you buy 1)=13.98, received $10RR and $5RR. Small MM but my makeup was nearly gone! Some areas of the country are reporting B1GFree, so I wanted to let others know that in Eureka, MO, it's B1G1 50% off. I found details at i heart wags.

  14. Kelly - That is a good deal on makeup! Thanks.

I have see the diabetes booklet at two stores in the city. They were in the pharmacy area. The coupon booklet is wrapped around a full size magazine. I hope this helps.

  15. Can you buy an Entertainment book and use the $30 to go towards your $50 at SNS? I tried to get an Entertainment book with my walgreens RR and they were all out. I should have gone on monday but sick kids didn't allow for that!

  16. Marcella, Sorry to hear the kids were sick. I hope they are better. There are (6) SNS $5 off $50 purchase coupon in the Entertainmnet book. You can use one per transaction. I've always been able to use them on a $10 off $50 Thursday.

  17. For those who have a Discover card and have signed up for the 5% cashback bonus through the end of the year on grocery purchases, if you use all the $5 SNS coupons in the book by Dec 31 to buy groceries and/or gift cards, you earn $13.50 cashback from the 6 coupons.

  18. I don't have a Discover card, but that is a great idea.

  19. You can also use a $5 Q to buy a GC, then use another $5 Q when you checkout to increase your savings even more!
