I was pleasantly surprised to find ground chuck for $2.19 per pound (regular price) at Johnny's and used my Jimmy Dean $1 coupons for the sausage. I didn't know if Johnny's took internet printable coupons, or if they would accept 2 coupons on a buy one get one deal, but they did both. The sausage ended up being .85 a package. I need to get back out to Johnny's before the sale is over to use the rest of my Jimmy Dean coupons.

With my oldest home for Christmas break, I was on the look out for a good price on beef. Finally, I found marked down meat at Schnucks - and it was beef. Even the beef on sale with an additional 25% off was over my "buy price" of $2 a pound, but my oldest will be gone again in a few weeks.

Speaking of batteries...I went to Target at South County area last night. The AA Rayovac batteries at the $1 shelves were 50% off. With the $1 on 2packs Qs, they will be free, and could be a MM if the Rayovac $1 IPQ is still available. :)
