CVS Opening Watch

I spoke with CVS Customer Relations on the phone. They did not have opening dates in their computer system, but I was told the CVS St Louis locations might open as soon as this weekend.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies are scheduled at several locations: (Thanks, Theresa!)

Please, come back and leave a comment if a CVS you've driven buy is open or not.

  1. One site said the Pepsi deal this week is better at CVS than Walgreens. Can't wait to check it out.

  2. I drove by the South County store today (Saturday) and the sign said, "Opening this Sunday 7am". It also said that they accept all competitor coupons.

  3. I'm surprised we didnt get CVS ads in the paper this Sunday, with the new stores opening. If they accept competitors coupons, does that also mean they'll take Walgreens RRs?

  4. The store at Hampton & Gravois also has a sign on the door saying they open Sunday at 7 am.

  5. I just got back from CVS; it was crazy busy.

I was going to ask about competitor coupons, but forgot. There was a sign in the window that said they take all competitor pharmacy coupons. I was assuming that was for prescriptions, but manybe they mean Walgreens coupons. I'll ask they next time I'm there what the sing means.

I asked the manager about why they didn't put their ad in the Post-Dispatch and he said they were in all Sunday editions. I hadn't opend up the paper delivered today and when I got home, checked it out. No CVS ad. I'll ask about that situation too.

  6. I asked today at the South County store about competitor coupons and they said that they take competitor pharmacy coupons and also other store's coupons. I specifically asked about Walgreens register rewards and she said that they would take RRs off when checking out. I have not tried to use any of these competitor coupons, but am excited about the possibilities.

  7. West County CVS is open. Woo Hoo! 2 things to really keep in mind. 1. Don't forget that you earn 2% reward on purchases (quarterly, maybe?) which really will make the Pepsi deal even sweeter! Plus between now and March 15th, you earn 4% on CVS/pharmacy brand items. 2. Don't forget to take your own reusable bag and purchase a GreenBagTag so that you get $1 ECB every 4th visit.

  8. Thanks, Nicole!

I'm excited about the possiblites also. I'm just so tainted with the other stores in St Louis that I can hardly believe they actually will. (Not that I don't believe you.) It will take some retraining to shop at a "customer friendly" store.

  9. Thanks Anonymous!

Looks like all four stores are open. I picked up my Green Bag Tag today. I love that I have an encentive to remember to take a bag. I'm also looking forward to the quarterly rewards, but if we all learn to roll ECBs, no one will be spending much money out of pocket.
